Until 1.6. There is no point of patching something now.

I agree. I want them devoted to correcting 1.6 bugs and not wasting time fixing something that is going away.

From a development point of view it would be counter-productive to spend time on updates for 1.5 while 1.6 is so close, and already at the stage where it's in the PTS.

From a deployment point of view, it would be problematic to implement any updates to production now prior to 1.6 coming out, as they would either have to be backed out with the 1.6 upgrade, or the 1.6 upgrade would have to be modified to take into account the updates (which may be a simple matter, or may be a massive effort, depending on the nature of the deployments).
