HUGE bug: Horse pack space bonus NOT applied to existing character

I don't know how to reproduce the bug, but I will tell you what I did.

Starting with FRESH PTS (I have NEVER been on pts before):

1. Log into 1st VR14 with a maxxed Pack horse, maxxed speed horse, and a stamina horse with around 20 pts. Result: all perfect, character has all the correct stats, and opening inventory I have 160 slots which is what I have on live when Pack Horse is equipped.
2. Log into 2nd VR14 with a maxxed Pack horse, maxxed speed horse (no stam horse at all). Result: stats on Character sheet are correct, but opening Inventory I have only 100 slots instead of 160 like on live. Nothing I do can correct this (relogging, reloadui, visiting stable, equipping/swapping horses around like crazy, etc.) When summoning the horse, the horse appears with the full-sized saddle bags, but inventory is still only 100.

This has to be fixed, as there is NO WAY to get that pack space back since I am maxed in pack space.

My first character I logged in seemed a little buggy with the bag space, but once I actually equipped my mount in my collections interface and bought a training point at the stable, my bag space was back to normal. So I have to agree that the bug must be linked to already being maxed in your riding skill.

Try equipping just the horse type you leveled carrying capacity on and reload UI and see if that helps. This seemed to give back the capacity slots (but not the lost items) on one of my affected characters.

You probably won't get your lost inventory back though. I didn't after relogging- items were still gone. This is a huge bug that absolutely needs to be fixed before the update goes live or a lot of people are going to lose a lot of stuff.

Yes they need to make sure this works before it goes live.

Another player reported having pack space removed like you, but it was far worse for him as his inventory was also full at the time, and the removal of the extra pack-horse space resulted in the deletion of 60 items from his inventory.

Not cool. And a huge customer service problem if they have to try and manually restore peoples stuff.

Yeah there were a bunch of us who noticed right after the character copy that we were missing items and it appeared to be because we had no horse equipped by default when we logged in. I believe most of us got the slots back after we equipped the horse but the lost inventory remained lost. What a bad first impression of 1.6!

If the OP can't even get the inventory slots back it sounds like for some people the problem is even worse than what I encountered.

I'm seriously considering whittling down my inventory or starting a new storage alt unless this is proven to be fixed through another character copy before it goes live.

And for those who have all 8 character slots maxed and still have full inventory, there's the mail items to a friend and have them bounce your mail method. And if you are seriously desperate and absolutely refuse to sell off extra inventory, there's the post your items at your guild store and list those items at crazy crazy prices method.

But dang, I really hope ZOS can fix this before Update 6 goes live so people won't have to resort to these creative ways to get more temporary space.

Yeah, same here. My toons had maxed bags and while equipping the horse right away helped, they didn't get the 10 slots from the Draft Horse bonus, so my alt lost all her soul gems and my main lost 4 of her Healer's Habit set pieces. *cries*

Now that EU characters are copied, can anyone with extra items due to horse capacity confirm that the 1.6.1 patch definitely fixed the issues NA users described above as per the patch notes?

The lack of a 'green' post doesn't mean what you seem to think it does. They've commented in other threads on this (as usual people have to crate one of their own rather than using one already posted) they know about this problem.

There is a line in the 1.6.1 patch notes that says this has been fixed.

I hope the folks from the EU server are able to test it and let us know.

Sorry for the thread necro, but I've not been able to find anywhere that this bug has been fixed.

I've read through the PTS patch notes for 1.6.1 twice, and could not find where it was even mentioned. The only line I saw was this:

"Fixed an issue that was resulting in a loss of items when logging into Update 6 for the first time."

Which sounds like it could be referring to this bug, but since it doesn't mention anything about horses, it's not exactly encouraging.

Can anyone that's logged into copied characters with inventory from horses confirm that this is actually fixed?
