Please fix Sorcerers

I've always loved Sorcerers in mmo's. More importantly, in Elder Scrolls. I like casting powerful spells without the aid of pets to make me relevant in competitive pve. Please put us on par with the other pve dps play styles, without forcing me to play with a pet. There is no more ranged caster. What are caster fans supposed to do now? This isn't balancing, this is taking away the reason magicka fans picked a Sorcerer in the first place.

    True, they seem intent on forcing us to be pet users. Which is taxing on our ability bar slots to boot. The Critical surge 1 sec CD relates to this, it needs to be removed and the healing made base line. Critical surge also needs to have a minor physical damage increase or something for stamina based sorcerers where Critical Surge then costs stamina.

    If pets will hit for 5k each every 1 sec i will RR to petmaster....they are now "trigger" for necropotence set :smile:

    Looking at the topic of 1.6.x magicka-focused no-pet sorceror DPS.

    This is more for my understanding than anything else, but what amounts of DPS are you doing on the PTS with the build(s) you are using? How long does it take to kill a mammoth, giant, or other 60~70k HP enemy?

    Or in Craglorn, are you able to survive and kill mobs in 1.5 that you are not able to now with a magicka no-pet build?

    For example, using a non-pet magicka build, are you looking for 10k+ sustained average single target DPS without ultimate? Something closer to 15k+ DPS? I'm still testing things out with classes and focusing a little more now on PvE, but just to see what any of us can come up with, pushing it, then providing feedback on these 1.6.x adjustments.
