For the whingers who feel this is unfair, just think about it:

Zos: hey guys here's a special gift for people who subbed for 12 months!

Customer 1: that's so unfair, I subbed 11 months, only missed by one month, can't there be some leeway?

Zos: OK, OK, special gift for people who subbed 11 months.

Customer 2: wait, but I subbed for 10 months, I only missed one month, that's so unfair! Can I have a little leeway?

Zos: OK special gift for people subbed for 10 months!

Customer 3: hang on, I was subbed for 9 months what about me?

Zos: go on then, special gift for people subbed for 9 months!

Customer 4: 8 months here, what about me?

So where would you draw the line for the special reward? It's gotta be somewhere!

the line should be the 12th month, everyone who missed only part of the 12th month is still eligible rest below just didnt cut it or some polite way to let them know they didnt put in the time

Can you give some more insight on the requirements to qualify for this bonus, specifically if "April" refers to the whole of April, or only players who managed to subscribe right at launch.

Was among the people who purchased Early Access but got locked out of my account for about a week after the 4th of April due to the supply issues that Game Time Cards had in terms of availability.

It would be rather upsetting to be locked out of receiving this bonus due to issues the company had with providing adequate stock in time for launch.

There was also an issue, that I had, where some players were locked out of the payment system because their address would return as invalid. Entering a different address would result in a legitimate billing error. I remember a few people who were here (on the boards) in early access, and their accounts went silent when the grace period expired.

In my case, I got it working by entering my address from my laptop. It can't even be a LAN issue because I'm literally using my desktop, which it won't accept, as a network bridge to the laptop that does work.

I am confuse about this. Is it sub or being a member because. I bought the game in April but they never counted the first month since it was free game time. Now my understanding is you are a subscriber when you are actually paying the sub for it. All the loyalty rewards before this relied on this. So how can you be a subscriber in April if your time period was free plus I remember people getting 5 extra game time days which pushes them beyond a month. So how does this work?

Not a 12 month thing. Its a did you have a continuous sub from launch until relaunch. If not then no you dont qualify. If yes then you do. I would assume (and you know how that can go) as long as you paid every month that should be considered continuous. If you lapsed a few days or a couple weeks it shouldnt matter. Now does ZOS see it that way? Who knows.

So if during the year I had one day down , more like one hour my subscription was inactive because I had to change credit cards when I switched banks , I won't get my loyalty reward ? Seriously ?!

    What a horrible system.

I personally took a forced month off due to real life and while I don't anticipate any sort of sympathy or a reward I do feel individuals who missed a day or two due to credit card issues or something out of their control shouldn't miss out.

For what it's worth, I don't know. But I suspect. All I can suggest is open a CS ticket on the subject when the reward finally does roll around, and hope for the best. They've said "no leniency," but, we'll see.

How long players need to be subbed to get super reward?

    Hey there folks,

At the present moment, we don't have the specifics on the reward mentioned in the special ESO live yesterday. Once we have more information, we'll be sure to let everyone know!

Well, here is my story. No retailer in my country had Collector's Edition box (Imperial Edition box) in April (and I think they don't have even now), so I was needed to order it from another country and wait a month to start to play. It seems to me that I get penilized for being loyal enough to buy Imperial Edition box.

They should just make it if you have subscribed a total of 12 months by the end of this year you will get the special mount. or something. Just do not find this fair for my circumstance at least.

It's not a 12 month subscription reward... it's a token for those that supported ZOS FULLY before they went B2P. So it wouldn't really be the same thing if they did as you suggest.

I'd bet that they release a "version" of it in the Crown store at some point. Lets say it's a white unicorn mount(what I fear it's going to be... because Unicorns DO exist in Tamriel) they may release black unicorn mounts someday.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

as long as it is a logical, reasonable (in terms of game value) gift, i find myself agreeing 101% with Matt Firor. For just this once. Ever.

except that the only thing meeting the above criteria is a t-shirt stating in bold, red letters:

    I AM AN IDIOT
i paid 12 months of a sub so i could beta test a free product
i did that only to be told that updates would then slow down
    I REALLY AM AN IDIOT

Um, can I have the one that says

    I MAY BE AN IDIOT
I naively paid 12 months to test a beta product

i would appreciate some flexability on this one too. i missed a few days because of paypal issues i couldnt renew my sub. besides that i have been in since beta and subbed since release.

Who thinks there needs to be about a month leeway for people who's subs lapsed just for a bit due to small reasons, they are still very loyal subscribers. Personally mine lapsed for just over a week due to money reasons and I consider this a massive insult if there is no leeway.

    Sorry for the rant :P

Well... since they don't count the free 30 days you got as a "sub" period anyway, it would be, what, a 10 month reward at best?

Kind of sad that, based on their own metric, their game lasted 10 months as a subscription product.

IMO 9-10 month is pretty fair. But it was mentoined that there will be 9 month loyalty reward, so I think only 10-11 months subbers get special reward (or only 11 months subbers).

In my case I would have been subbed since the game launched but since the steam release had an exclusive pet I switched to steam account which made me stop that subscription obviously. I am OCD about getting everything the game releases....and because of a stupid decision on ZOS part about not making that dog available to all I am screwed cause I switched... so pissed..

I almost did that to :P thats one of the main reasons I play Elder Scrolls games is for collecting everything, which is why this annoys me a fair bit :/

I would be much happier if they give us respective reward for each month subscirbed in crowns real value 1500 per month so if you were subbed for 6 months you get 9500 crowns not 100 per month that's insult, and just wait for prices of things in the store you will see why I type this.

I've been waiting for the game to come out since 2012, was signed up for BETA the *hour* the survey went live, pre-ordered the game, played it on march 29th, but in the past year, I've had a lot of away-time from the game due to school, and when I was away, I always kept on recommending the game to people, battling the hate-fest around it in the YouTube comments, went to the game's subreddit almost every single day, and now I'm ineligible to get the reward in any way, ever

Seriously, I would've been fine with having to pay the sub for a few more months before getting it, but after lending my support to the game even when I was unable to play it, it just makes me sad that I'm still considered unworthy.

IMHO everyone with 6 months+ should get reward. It's still a lot of time - many of us reported bugs & stuff.

Im from day 1 but had few breaks - real stuff and i use Prepaid cards (dont have magic power to auto redeem them if im out of home)
