Having it be considered is a long way from having it in the store. Although they very clearly are including an XP boost as part of the ESO Plus membership.

But they flat-out said that they won't put actual gear on the store. So please stop with the sky falling and all that.

@nerevarine1138: could you please point out for everyone where you read/heard that? I cannot find it anywhere. They don't seem to ever use the word "gear" in their answers, so feel free to enlighten me.
    Wololo.

Straight from the horse's mouth (if Matt Firor were a horse):

Oh, I get it! Because cars are like games! And a subscription is like a lease! And a terrible analogy is applicable!

How about building a house, paying for the construction, then seeing the whole house collapsed & the rubble sold to you separately for $$$?

Because that is what is happening, I hope you're not blind enough not to see it.

"I win" button enabling me to one shot a dungeon boss would really shorten my time and it would be really convenient.

Yee Haw, this is the spot to get the blood boiling in the morning. :s So I may completely "naïve" but I am trying to figure out how you can say that we "got our monies worth" from our subs @nerevarine1138 ? Yes we did get access for the months we paid, but we did not get "new content every 4-6 weeks" (and that will be subject, but patches are not "new content") We also did not get the level of "service" we paid for with all the bugs and lags, etc. Next, we also were "mislead" when they directed us in the "purchase" of said game because we "thought" we were getting X with the "purchase" of the initial download, but this announcement is delivering Y. (and yep, they have the right to change course, but then we have to evaluate the company statements and I will just blow over this) I will concede that I personally I may be just a customer, not an investor, but I have to argue that considering this, aren't Berny Madolf's "customers" rather than "investors"...so why are they crying?

A lot of the points you make are "true-ish" but I think that you are arguing the "extreme" right and not looking to the left. I could go through a ton of "examples" that would show my point over yours, but then we would get into the "subjective" nature of the "interpretation" or "presentation" of said events. The reality of the matter is the facts: People believed the "statements" made by the company, and now "feel" that said company is not "honoring" those same "statements". Now you can be happy/sad/glad/mad over this fact, but for all the "intelligence" you are trying to lay out with your "arguments" (and I am not in anyway implying you lack intelligence), you are being "naïve" about the driving force behind this whole uproar - human nature. "Opinions" are like a$$holes, we all got them, they are shytty, sometimes they stink, sometimes they are fun, but most of all, they are unique to all of us. And what we do with our a$$holes is our business. Would you at least agree there? >:) (And please don't be mad that I am showing mine right here for all of you to see. :o )

Follow me if I advance, Kill me if I retreat, Avenge me if I die.

When this immediate evil power has been defeated, we shall not yet have won the long battle with the elemental barbarities. Another evil, it may be an invisible adversary, will attempt, again, and yet again, to destroy our frail civilization. Is it true, I wonder, that the only way to escape a war is to be in it?

If I die, you are forgiven, If I live, I will kill you.

@op you paid for access to a game, you received said access. Like others said and I will summarize.

Your options are to continue paying the company for products or services they offer at the negotiated (or company fixed) price. If you do so then they are obligated to provide whatever it is that they sold you.

Your other option is to quit spending money on said product and move on to something more enjoyable....

You know if I had my money back everytime I went to a restaurant and bought my kids a meal that they didn't eat...I would have a lot of extra money. As it stands I ordered an item the company provided the item whether the child eats or does not eat the item is not the companies fault or responsibility.

Should I continue to give them money for food my son may not eat? Maybe, if I want to go out to eat and feel he should come then I probably should offer him food, could I not get the full benefit from my money spent? Maybe, that is a risk inherent in the purchase.

You'd get your money back, if that restaurant didn't bring you what you ordered, but something else entirely.
So I fail to see your point.

Also, I'd encourage you to study your basic consumer rights, which I posted above. In fact, there's so many people unaware of them that I think I should post a separate thread about it.

You believe anything at all they still have to say?

    I feel sorry for you.

Yes, if a company EVER changes it's plans, it is completely untrustworthy for the rest of human existence.

    /rollseyes

That's right, roll your eyes. Because completely reversing course on something as basic as the way you pay for the game is supposed to inspire trust. Right?
