Player traveling.

Whenever your character fast travels to a wayshrine or a player in your group your character performs like some ritual sort of thing where a mappish looking thing pops up. Is there an explanation for this? How do our characters do this, and/or what exactly is it? Are we like praying to some god to teleport us there or what. Might not be an explanation for it, but was just curious. Thanks!

Not sure, if it is, wonder how our player has the ability to do it....if it was a spell it would not make sense because it does not use magika or anything.

That's just an animation, triggered by a certain thing you're doing (in this case fast traveling), but has nothing to do with spell casting. It's like getting married in the game, that twist animation comes automatically without pressing an additional button.
