I should of seen the signs.
  • New content on the way back in July
  • Made vet areas easier
  • Dungeon scaling
  • Redoing delves and making them bigger
  • Provisioning revamp
  • Crafting and Undaunted dailies
  • Undaunted getting cool areas of operation
  • Chat bubbles
  • The finishing of Craglorn
  • Animations faces revamp
  • Stamina skills change
  • Champion system doing away with vet ranks
  • Going back to level 50
  • Making Enchanting easier to level
  • Making it easier to carry trophies, pets, and costumes
  • Redoing animations
  • Changing the way ultimate is gain
  • Buff and Debuff consolidation
  • Revamp of class skills and other abilities
  • Remover of forward camps
  • Dyes
  • Adding more flavor text for the abilities to make them sound cooler
  • Imperial City being pushed back
  • Finding out that they are making the tutorial bigger and better.
  • The adding of the Justice system. Which expands AI behaviors of NPCs, Make houses less empty and adds Elder Scrolls traits.
  • Consoles finally are starting getting more news
  • 6 month subscription was gone( This was not a hidden sign since a lot of people were panicking)
  • Push update six back to the end of the month
  • Finally the biggest sign is when they said that it was ESO 2.0
They basically went and change everything people complain about and went back fix things that was broken made it better and added new things. Now the game is re branded and is a better launch title now for the consoles. This new business model seem to been made back in July when they announced the future of ESO. When they were talking about adding new zones for pvp and pve, they were already thinking about adding them as dlc. They basically use loyal members money to make additional dlc ahead of time so if they did not do well with the new model they can continued to put new content out to make money.

My mind is blown

That was quite an elaborate plan. I knew that all the people who unsubscribed or threatened to unsubscribe were just making it worst. The game was not doing well and people just left it. ZOS knew they were not going to continue to make money if people kept doing it so this buy 2 play model is born. People cannot threatened to unsubscribe any more since the game is not relying on the subscription to play the game and they now gain and influx of gamers who wanted the subs not mandatory from the beginning.

After awhile of thinking and going through different stages of feelings about this whole game, I have finally think this is not bad thing since this game was not that great in the beginning and needed a re branding just like Final Fantasy XIV did. Instead they went away and Zos decided to keep paid beta testers for their game but alas does not bother me any more since I enjoyed playing the game. My only thing is there is better be more changes in this next update that you have not revealed to us yet. What do you guys think is changed in this next update that ZOS has not revealed to us yet?

i was paying my fees to keep away the f2p/b2p scrub players from this game, now with b2p system we will have all the qq players ingame again and more. ZoS eliminated the most important service. The other perks are worthless now, your argument.

We already have a lot... just look at the forum right now...

So many people crying like little babys and quitting even before we see what the change mean exactly. So it's nothing new.

I am talking about changes for the patch not random inconsistencies that are going to happen in the future of the game. I do not want this post to go down hill like other posts.
This is not a complain post.

I actually think that makes sense, unless I'm missing something. I just finished watching the full cinematic and... it just feels like this, at some point further back in the past than we initially thought, this was already the plan. I was actually coming on to post something similar when I saw your thread.

I'm going to stick it out for a bit and hope and pray to the Eight that this amount of forethought went into everything we're now seeing, or that everything will work out better than other B2P and F2P conversions have gone. I still immensely enjoy this game. When the announcement came, I was...pretty sad, honestly. I wanted this game to work--the franchise has the lore and scope to let it. I begrudgingly began considering resubbing to WoW.

I really hope that this period of P2P was some grand scheme to have a second, more thorough beta. At the least, they know that P2P players will be the most invested in offering feedback (rather than the free beta) and the most committed to seeing the game's future from the player standpoint.

But this is probably me just being naïve because I'm afraid or unwillingly to accept the truth about this game's trajectory. *sigh*

those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it....

many other games have gone the route they're going and many of those are festering cesspools of idiocy.

When they announced that the monster that was going in the cinematic was in the imperial city. I should of known that this is probably going to be the first addition into the game. I would like to see the new plants for the new provision items in woods or farms in the game. Maybe they have farms stock with ingredients or in places that are empty now in the game.

    Great post however...

    - ESO was far from doing bad as a P2P
    - Last 2 months we have seen a big increase in the playerbase
    - Their plan to switch to P2P/B2P Hybrid was made well before the launch

    - Microsoft forced them, they had no other choice, I just wish they were more straightforward with us

    - ESO will be a big success on the Consoles, therefore I hope Console players give us back the favor (We were fixing the game so they can have a perfect launch)

They'd be really stupid from a financial standpoint, if they wouldnt focus on creating Elder Scrolls Online mainly for Consoles:

    - Skyrim sold 87% of total copies on Consoles (~18mil copies)
    - While they sold only 13% of total copies on PC (~3mil copies)

Considering that ESO sold about 1.5-2mil copies on PC..Well it wouldn't be hard to at least double the sales on Consoles..

I find it ironic because I was originally going to get on console but I could not wait so I got the pc verstion. Then when I found out that consoles were being push back I was sad but they said we could transfer our account to the console if we buy the game by this certain date. I already had so I was like I guess I wait. I can play this game well on my pc but when I try to do dungeons or pvp it becomes rather unplayable so when the consoles comes out I am going switch over to them. So I basically beta test the game for myself.
