Why B2P wont be so bad

Let me first start off by saying that these are my thoughts, and that what I say is only my hopes of how B2P turns out.

I'm just gonna list off a few of my thoughts of why I think B2P will help out ESO for the better.

1. Hopefully, and I mean hopefully we will see an improvement in the community. Im sure there will be an increase in children and trolls, but I hope that the people who wanted to play but couldn't finally get on and have the good outnumber the bad.
2. We will have a lot more to look forward to with the new 'DLC' or as I like to call, expansions. The reason why I say that is because there will be a large number of players who aren't paying a subscription, Like all companies, ZoS will do what they can to make them buy the Expansions, meaning they will go above and beyond in content. (Paul sage gave a few examples in the live stream and one of them was a new class :D)
3. PvP will be much more lively. Currently most campaigns get medium population (unless its a campaigns buff sever) prime time and Thornblade gets pop capped. The amount of players when B2P comes out will probably increase tenfold, meaning more campaigns and hopefully no more buff servers.
4. Cosmetics, I'm honestly a sucker for cosmetics and I know I shouldn't be because Im somewhat supporting cash shops. But if the crown store stay the way it is and gives no one an unfair advantage that is subbed ESO should be fine.
5. Hopefully the grouper tool (even if its broken) will be able to work with all the new players

Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring, Thanks for reading everyone and enjoy your day :)

You're only seeing the immediacy of this B2P annoucement. The long term affects are having the cash shop be their number 1 priority and means of income. Updates will be watered down, paywalls will be introduced, everything will be ***.

This definitely seems like the inevitable but if they actually run the system like its been described, the OP post does have some validity and therefore can be seen as a positive.

I'm kind of a small deal!

They'll make sure it seems super awesome for about 3 months.

Then they'll keep telling you how awesome the cash shop is. And how it's just there to benefit the playerbase, and has nothing to do with getting more money out of you.

Of course... ZOS will keep telling you this is all awesome and just for you. That's what they want you to think so you keep giving them money.

Yeah, just the tone of the ESO Live show--(Everything is GREAT! We're doing this because players WANT IT!!! YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!!!!!) -- shows how cynical they are about this. Every step along the way, they have it planned to string the sheep along, keep 'em funding their cash cow. All the way to the slaughterhouse.

Sorry, but the people who actually wanted to play subscribed to the game a long time ago.
The people who didn't "get on" were the children and the trolls who enjoyed bashing ESO, how it "didn't deserve subscription" and how "bad it was".
Those new DLC were created with PC subscriber money for console B2P peasants. I hope you can digest that. It's sort of like day-1 DLC (console peasants love those), they kept parts of the game intentionally unreleased to cash them out later. It's not like we were expecting content for our subscriptions...

Secondly, the "all DLC will be scaled to your level", smells a lot like GW2, which is notorious for it's lack of content updates & non-existent end-game content.

Speaking of which, did they mention anything about new raids/trials? Nope, just content scaled to your level & flashy Cash Shop items.
    3. PvP will be much more lively. Currently most campaigns get medium population (unless its a campaigns buff sever) prime time and Thornblade gets pop capped. The amount of players when B2P comes out will probably increase tenfold, meaning more campaigns and hopefully no more buff servers.

PvP will have a lot more noobs crying about "broken skills", until everything is dumbed down to their level and made easy.
    4. Cosmetics, I'm honestly a sucker for cosmetics and I know I shouldn't be because Im somewhat supporting cash shops. But if the crown store stay the way it is and gives no one an unfair advantage that is subbed ESO should be fine.

Should be free for anyone subscribing, or atleast achievable in-game by other means.
    5. Hopefully the grouper tool (even if its broken) will be able to work with all the new players

Hopefully you'll be able to use it without paying $$$.

To be honest, at some point in time B2P was going to be for PC no matter how good the game was doing. There would be a massive uproar about how PC players who have been playing since day-4 have been paying 15$ a month while Console gamers only have to pay $5 a month.
