Friendly neighborhood shirtless wood elf here!
Now, I don't know how many of you have noticed, but lately us Roleplayers have been spending A LOT of time in Woodhearth. Why? It's the most visitor friendly city in the Valenwood, of course! And what better way to get to know each other than drinks in the local tavern?
Except, there's a problem. You see, up in the Improbable Cutlet there's an NPC. Her name is Garwiril.
Here she is right here:
Normally this would not be a problem. NPCs lead to a more diverse feeling world after all! Except... Garwiril does not just sit there being polite. No, not at all. She likes to move. A lot.
Here she is again, at the table to the side this time.
And... on the chair across from the table now? One chair is not good enough for Garwiril, it seems!
And now here she is checking out the shelf!
And if all of that is not enough, she even goes walking over to the little alcove disrupting any private conversations or games of chance that go on there, the nosy little brat.
This all leads to a major issue. When NPCs path through you, you are shoved to one side. Any emotes you might be doing like a /sit or a /armscrossed will immediately be terminated. With all of Garwiril's movement, she removes the ability to sit on THREE of the FOUR main chairs. You cannot stand and look at the shelf of things. You can't go to the table where she reads. You can't even sit nicely in the alcove. In fact, most of the interesting space in the tavern is completely unusable for RP.
Here's a map- The red zones are no-go areas, leaving only that little bit of green.
Because of this everyone ends up awkwardly crowded along the one side of the table despite the four seats that should be available. It's quite frustrating to try to stand elsewhere only to be knocked around almost immediately, and anyone who joins in late has to stand somewhere off to the side, far away from the table where everyone else is seated. It's a constant frustration, and one that is easily remedied. Remove her, or her pathing. If she was just sitting still, she would not be an issue.
She doesn't have an actual function. No vendor abilities, no quest. She doesn't talk, other than saying she wants to go to Summerset. It would not be an issue to PVE or PVP if she were to say, vanish. We love Woodhearth, and we love the RP opportunities it brings- but one simple change could make it so much better.
