Do the ESO+ and/or current Subs get ahead of the B2P queue?

This is one thing I'm yet to see mentioned by ZOS. I assume there will be queue's.

There may be login queues. But what about Cyrodiil? Thornblade Na queues can be bad enough now, let alone with new baddies.. err B2P 'free' players exacerbating the queues.

The assumption would be yes, if you're an ESO+ sub, you would (as should those who subbed for the last 6+months - but that's another story).

But assumptions here don't mean it will be so. Can we get a solid answer?

Will sub's/ESO+ jump login queues?
Will sub's/ESO+ jump Cyrodiil queues?

Bump, very good question indeed. I know that Trion did this with Patron accounts in Rift, hopefully ZoS will do the same in ESO with ESO Plus.

There will be a one time use potion in the cash shop that will let you port right to Cyrodiil, bypassing the queue all together.

It is something to be addressed. I expect ZOS is going to add more instances of the campaigns.
Of course if you listen to the forums the majority think this is game is now DOOMED so the population won't be an issue.
Really the only faction that seems to have topped off population outside Chillrend is AD.

A lot of people on here are having knee-jerk reactions - but will still play the game.

Down the track when this happens, I would like an answer. It's probably quite straight forward to answer (and implement? ie they did early access).

But if something like there to be implemented and a statement given it's a positive outcome imo.

LOL, you're assuming ZOS is smart enough to have thought this through.

It's doubtful you'll get ahead in Queues as a + player because then all the Unlimited players would freak out.

So basically, the lines are going to get longer as people who don't have to play a sub stream into Cyrodil.

Because of ESO's megaserver server architecture, there may not need to be queues at all, no.

May not need to be? For login's maybe not. That's a good thing.

Yes they are raising the pop cap, ZOS have stated that I've been told. But even when at full cap, Thornblade et al. were a pain to get into.

Will it be going back to what it was cap wise? No idea. But if there are issues getting into PvP for people paying $15 a month, that will only be detrimental to the current loyal playerbase.

Just my 2c, I thought something like this should be there.

I agree with Vikestart, the architecture means there probably shouldn't be queues at all. Not even right now...

Oh... for PvP there might be queues.

However, maybe they can solve that by having the game automatically create a new instance when the other one gets full.

Ensuring the factions are somewhat balanced is important too.

Careful people that are linking @ZOS names to get their attention, I've seen several comments just get deleted by Mods for doing that very thing since the B2P announcement. Apparently ZoS Mods don't like it when players ask firmly for answers to valid questions. Which is why I don't link their names anymore, got tired of having my own deleted as well.

With increased population, hopefully other campaigns will become livelier, releasing the strain on just one over populated campaign.

But I agree, Subscribers should jump ques. It adds value to the subscription model which currently, isn't appealing to some people in regards to value.

This is a good question. And would be epic for a person who isn't a sub player to get a message like "You are being moved back in que by a ESO+ member, if you would like to prevent this please go to our website and sign up to be a plus member".

Subs should take priority in any and all queue's. Furthermore they should kick the non-subbed from Cyrodiil en lieu of zoning subbed players.

It stands to reason that those paying a subscription will get priority queues.

At least, I hope that's how it's going to work.

That would cause people to stop playing.

Things like that don't usually work out the way you think they will. It won't encourage people to pay it will bring them to the internet to aim rage at ZOS and then uninstall the game.

Perhaps that's fun for you but not exactly a good way to bring in players.

I'm planning on paying so it wouldn't bother me it's just a really bad idea from a business point of view.

No reason to expect ZOS to do this, I have no idea where your assumption comes from at all.

It's not about respect, it's about the fairness of the game. In games that allow subscribed players to bypass queues, there are often game-changing items in the cash shop - in contrast to how Zenimax wish to run their crown shop. Subscribing players will have boosts to experience, gold etc, and also access to all dlc areas during your subscriptions. However, for queues it is first come first serve.

If subscribers were jumping the queue and leaving non-subscribers with extraordinarily long queue times, there would be huge amounts of screaming on the interwebz about, "They said it was B2P now, but it is still P2P! You have to pay to PvP! I was 47th in queue and now I am 58th because subscribers keep jumping ahead of me!"

The only time this would even be needed is if queues were extremely long. And in that case, they need to add more campaigns and more servers so that everyone, subscribers and non-subscribers, can play the game. A game with really long queue times is bad. A game with really long queue times and a way to buy yourself past those long queue times? That is bad and will set the gaming world ablaze with screams of hatred.

As long as there are long queues, they are in a no-win situation. Make your most profitable customers (subscribers) angry when they are paying $15/month to sit in a queue? Or make your most numerous customers (non-subscribers) angry when they feel they have to pay $15/month if they even want to play the game?

ZOS needs to keep queue times at a minimum. That is the only solution to this problem that will make all their customers happy.
