Having a pseudo subscription hurts the game's image and reminds other people of all the other lack luster F2P titles out there. Besides, who wants to rent DLC when you can just buy it out right?

If we are ESO+ when a DLC goes live, and we subsequently drop our sub to ESO+, do we lose the DLC we had access to? Do we have to buy it again? If so, that sucks.

Yep, maintaining a subscription allows you to temporarily access all of the DLC content, minus cosmetics and vanity pets, while your sub is active. Once your sub ends, you lose access to all DLC. I.E. you are effectively renting.

They should choose one or the other. No one should pay to be on higher ground than someone else. Convert all that sub time into some other reward and drop subscription completely. Commit.

I like the model they have now introduced.

The only thing I don't like is the +10% gold boost.

It feels like the new ESO+ will actually be more rewarding than what a sub is worth currently. That alone is a thing that I like about the new system. Because you get 1500 crowns a month and that lets you buy something fancy-looking (hopefully) from the cash shop every now and then, as opposed to nothing really special currently. It's not a bad deal at all, I'd say.
