More variety of mounts, cash shop, and stuff

One constant amongst all MMO's since EQ has been the acquisition of "stuff". We like stuff that makes us look cool. Its one thing to kill, but its another thing to kill while looking amazing! We are almost hitting the games first year, and sadly we are still running around on our sad horses (mostly white).

Are there any plans to have a wider assortment of styles, colors, species, of mounts available via achievements, pvp currency, game gold, or even the online store? In other words...I want to give you money....let me give you money....give me stuff to buy online so you can take my money!

The same goes for costumes, right now everyone has the same costumes for the most part. Various quests gave us some cool ones, and there are the 3 we get from level progression. This would be another item I see as being desirable by alot of players.

ZOS has made it clear that they aren't looking to drain our bank accounts, and we do thank you for that. ZOS could have easily released a ton of trinkets onto the online store and cashed it, but they didn't and this says a lot.

I would love to see more things available in the store. Mounts, pets (A DOG PET!!!), I would even be ok with hairstyles and maybe costumes and other vanity items.

The 'costume' tab is a very powerful slot, and could be useful in the store. It doesnt have to change everything, could even just be a skin for a single item.

As long as its not pay to win items, and its just vanity items and eye candy. Have at it!

NO cash shop. Give us the cool stuff for our subscriptions. Why do some people want to pay more than they have to? Just ask for these things as stuff you can get IG without dishing out more of your hard earned coin!

Seriously people. Don't wish for a cash shop, cause in the end, you will regret the Pay to win that always comes with it.

Cash shop does not always mean pay to win, cosmetic items are not going to give you an edge in killing a particular monster or boss, nor will it level you faster than playing without the item. Yes, there are plenty of games that have abused this and you can pay to get yourself to the highest levels of the game. Clearly, ZOS has not gone this route, if they wanted to they would have done it already.

Cash shop items are the worst. Buying cash shop stuff is like joining the milehigh club because it looked like a good idea until you get there and you're $x.xx further away from paying your next subscription.
Anyways, ZOS stated that horses are unique for being able to sprint for an unlimited amount of time implying we are going to get more mounts in the future, and I can't wait.

I'm not sure I know a single MMO that has a cash shop, and that doesn't have particular items in it, that you require in order to compete or make money to compete. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

No cash shop, I don't mind occasional things like the palmino horse but no to anything else being in the shop.

There's already a cash shop guys, click 'store' on the eso page. Palamino horse, imperial edition upgrade, etc. all for additional purchase.

Of course, those types of things I dont have a problem with. Unique mounts and such that have no combat or gameplay advantage is fine, and I can see name changes being something offered up on the store as well.

I don't care how much money you waste on stupid vanity items.

But please no more mounts. Build on the horse system as it is. New feedings types, breeding options, armor options etc.

I would hate to see riding bears, birds, elefants, dragons, etc. in this game. It just does not fit.

I could live with senche mounts, if they don't look too fancy.

Anything available in a cash shop needs to ALSO be available in game to ne purchased with in game gold. Period.

I just wish I could buy a horse of any currently available color that specializes in any stat. There is no reason why only a spotted white and brown horse is the only good pack horse in the whole realm. I like the tan horse so a speed horse is no problem for me personally, just wish I could buy a black horse that started with +10 bag space for my pack horse.

I think its hilarious that I started this just before the B2P announcement, with no knowledge at all of the upcoming crown shop or anything. If only I could do this with the Lotto.

Wish granted, that's how its gonna be in the future.

As for all that "No to chash shops", well, guess that ship has sailed, and sunk.
So now for the "what in cash shops"...

More mounts? Sure! With the new riding system where mount stats depend on your riding skills and the rest is merely cosmetic... no reason not to have mounts in there, be it different colors (grey coat horse?) or riding guar... I'd also welcome senche tigers... though any more exotic mounts may be taxing the lore & immersion a bit too much... (though if they ever make a giant spider mount, I know I'll buy it for my main character - she likes Mephala, what can I say... )

More vanity pets? Eh... but why not for those who like 'em?

More costumes? Yes, YES, YEESSS! I know I want that black&red dress for my characters... even though I also know it will be painful seeing a zerg swarm of jesters roam cyrodil.

If you watch the livestream, they talk about various items they will add to the crown store, and how they will not be game-changing in a pay to win way. I am also very sure they wish to keep the items lore-friendly, considering what we've seen so far has all been.

My low level orc initially wore a nord helm, breton pauldrons, khajiit curiass & gauntlets, orc greaves & girdle, redguard sabatons. Ended up with a very coolish "Mad Max" kind of vibe.

Wish I could just have somehow leveled up that outfit. The same set in steel just looks .... too pretty.
