Any plans for PvP other than Cyrodill?

I haven't played in quite a while - the game lost me after I got bored of cyrodill keep-taking pvp. I'm not really a fan of zerging and such. So for a while I went back to Gw2, but I gotta say it sucks because ESO is the game I want to play - it's just not playable in the way I want it to be.

So I was wondering if Paul Sage or anyone from ZOS made mention of a smaller group PvP system while I was away? I had hoped Dragonstar Arena would deliver in this fashion, but instead of giving a 4v4 pvp arena they gave us a 4vX PvE arena. Not that I'm complaining about that, but I'm mentioning Dragonstar to illustrate what I'm looking for: something like Dragonstar but for PvP, or a duelling system. Anything?

Imperial city will arrive 30 years from now, after that, I dunno, we might get some PvP updates/content next century.

How many subscriptions they have? 500.000? How many active PvP players? 10.000? I dont think its more. I wouldnt invest into 2% of the player base

I bet 10k active PvPers is a generous estimate. That point in itself is worthy of discussion.

10K players is really far fetched; I agree. 200 players a lock seems about right with how the latest pop adjustment went. It's far from what it used to be.

I think he was talking about the total playerbase, not what is on a campaign at once. I think your estimate of 200 players to lock the server sounds right.

Purely anecdotal speculation:
- I bet that DC has ~300 active (daily) PvPers. Hence, we can never pop-lock two servers.
- I think AD and EP can field ~400-600 active PVPers. I've seen them both pop-lock two campaigns simultaneously. Although not recently.
- I estimate approximately 2x that number for each factions "tries" PvP during a week, although are not regulars.
- If the European numbers are similar, then we're looking at ~5k (or so) PvPers.

Really wish we would be given more information.

On EU, AD and DC can lock 2 campaigns, EP 3. AD has a bit more players than DC I think. There you go.

in all seriousness, the PvP aspect of the justice system is coming after 1.6, so there is that to look forward to. there is also the imperial city... but that will be mainly a PvE thing unless they include Arena style PvP with it

When you lock pvp behind a 64 level grind, have inadequate server performance, only have 1 winner, base it entirely around large group raids that are cookie cutting, and punish peoples mailboxes, and slant PvP in favor of pve set grinding, its no wonder <2% of the overall pop pvps.

Its a real shame, PvP has the potential to be one of the games shining features.
