You aren't assaulting their soul. You are using someones soul that you have captured and converting that soul into a death beam ray.

You aren't assaulting their soul. You are using someones soul that you have captured and converting that soul into a death beam ray.
Super Plot Twist.
If someone casts soul trap on you then wouldn't they capture the giant death beam ray because it is a soul, or was a soul, and therefor wouldn't they do some yoda *** where they convert it back into a soul and then convert it again and force push you from Roebeck to Brindle?

So using soul trap on a person would capture their soul, so you can put it in a jar, and torture for eternity

Nah I think its more a nod to that kamehameha like deathbeam you push X for vs molag bal, the one that shrinks him
