What is this message: Failed: Tracker Goal Text

My V2 was a vamp in Stormhaven. I cured her, reset my skills and became a WW. I completed the beginning quest for that and moved on to my V2 zone. Now when I log out I keep seeing, "Failed: Tracker Goal Text on my screen. What is this? I have never seen this before.

Well it is related to one of the quests I picked up by the docks in Stormhaven. Not sure which one. I abandoned four and the message stopped. I will pick them up again one at a time and see which one has the issue.

Yeah, I had this message appear for a few days while I was playing on a DC character, I was also a vampire.
I had already finished DC zones and was into silver content but I was jumping in and out of Cyrodil a lot, which is when I would get the notification (after returning from Cyrodil)
After a few days I stopped getting the message so never tracked down which quest was causing it.
It's possible I still had an unfinished quest from stormhaven which I abandoned to make room in my log.

Well I added back the quests I had open when the message started and I don't see the message anymore. Maybe some left over mess from curing vamp and going WW? The only quest I had when I cured my vamp was the very early main quest in the first town to talk to the mayor as I had just entered Stormhaven. The other quests I picked up after the cure, skill reset and WW quest.

Hey there @Seravi,

That's a generic placeholder message for a failed quest or quest objective. Essentially, "tracker goal text" is "Write something here." That means that something is probably going awry with one of the quest trackers and a more verbose failure message needs to be added (e.g Failed: You left the quest area, or something similar).

If the issue persists, please ensure that you use the /bug feature to report it. This will give the developers a list of the quests that you're currently on as well as your progress in those quests, which will let us know where the error is.

If it is no longer occurring and you happen to remember the name(s) of the quest(s) that you abandoned in Stormhaven when the issue ceased, that would also be helpful to our investigation. Thanks for your patience and the report!

@ZOS_GaryA, The quests I abandoned were: Can't Leave Without Her ( I have completed this one now), A Family Affair (I have completed this one now) and The Slavers (Haven't started this one again so it may be the one with the issue). I will pick this one up when I am back online and see if I get the message. If so I will use the /bug so the devs can look at it. Thanks!!

Its definitely A Family Affair I had the same issue until I completed it. It began at the stage before you go to untie the girl (Genese?)

Hmm was this ever resolved?
I'm getting this error in Riften from I assume a quest in Riften but this only pops up when logging out not if I leave an area

I only saw it when I logged out. Once I abandoned all the quests I had for that area and did them over again it went away. I had three quests I think I had to redo since I had just entered the zone.

Not good....can't port, can't complete Malabor Tor and am stuck If I can actually get online but now a new issue.
Maybe it's time to find a new game...just maybe
