It seems unlikely that a Feb release date would happen because they haven't even announced the console beta yet. Of course, they could just skip the whole beta since we have been testing it for over a year now, but an early console release would be nice. With more players we may see more new content quicker.

The other thing i think is possible is Zos may skip the sub fees on consoles, but make them buy the new content and/or a season pass to offset the loss of sub fees. I know console CoD players can spend $20 for a map pack as well as for some cosmetics items. At least the zombies will be free.

I was surprised when I read this too but they said they wanted it after Justice and Champion system is out, which can be by then. But they also said spellcrafting will come with console release. If we just guess that 1.6 will come at the end of Jan (which is just pure prediction), I don't see how they will have spellcrafting all tested and released in less than a month. Also, if I recall correctly, Imperial City was supposed to come before SC, I really doubt they would both come out not a month after 1.6.

Also, I wish the game was cross platform like FF XIV, if it was, I would buy it for PS 4 without hesitation, but like this I don't really feel like restarting everything.

They can't release on consoles, till VR is fully removed. It would look terrible to launch then have to give new players patch notes advising of the removal of the system.

I see no valid reason why would console version use sub over f2p model. Who would agree to pay for both xbox\ps4 online sub and game sub at the same time ?
Sub payment also least profitable model for consoles.

actually on PS4 there is no access fee just the standard zenimax sub fee as SONY has waived their fee with regards to this game

Depends I suppose if console players will be on the same servers as the rest of us or not.

If they are seperate servers then they could keep them running on different versions of the game if they needed to.

I recall one time in LOTRO when the EU players waited a good week for an update that the US servers had already got - there was something horribly gamebreaking about it so they delayed rolling it out to the EU until they fixed it in the US.

unless they have changed it PS4 and Xbox will be on their own servers separate from the PC players

They could keep the servers platform locked, but have the account and characters not be platform specific. Then you could log in on what ever platform you liked, so long as you had the copy for that platform. That would be nice. It would a.ldo make the dub nothing to do with the platform.

Well I asked about the sub in their chat and they said it doesn't require subscription, just Xbox live.
    So ESO f2p? :(

well Microsfot does not require a sub for the game however Zenimax does. Microsoft and zenimax have been going round and round on this. SONY wavied their connection fee while Microsoft has not. Microsoft wants Zenimax to waive their sub fee and just rely on the sale of the game like rpg games do. Microsoft has had this issue with PC games in the past that they were attached to. Usually Microsoft gives up and pulls out of the arrangement. Prior to the games launch. looking over your link conversation I would be the CSR was only looking to check to see if Microsoft required a subscription fee.

They made an annoucement back when they delayed the June release concerning accounts on PC and porting them over. I do not remember the exact announcement, perhaps someone else does.

The XB1 store removed "February 24th." Now it just says "2015"

Let's put on our tinfoil hats and discuss the ultimate meaning of that change :)

Also, subscription costs on XBox are only an issue for people who do not already have an XBox Live Gold subscription. It is not like Microsoft charges more for each game you own.

Wrong wrong and wrong again....do some research before feeding the rumor troll.....take final fantasy a realm reborn, this game is out on ps4 and it has a subscription fee and is doing quite well, no playstation plus required. So because Xbox live is a paid membership to play ANY game online they would be using that fee instead of the monthly sub fee to play ESO. Now playstation may do something similar, meaning if you have PS+ you get to play ESO with only that membership or they could do it like final fantasy and not require PS+ to play and only charge the sub fee that we PC players now have. So no, what you said in no way shape or form means ESO is going free to play.

I do find it amusing that people will pay a subscription fee just for the privilege of being able to access the internet on a console, but paying a fee for an actual game is too much to ask.
Yea its especially hilarious to see the difference between psn and xbl
Psn has no ps+ requirment for eso on ps4
Xbl however requires active xbl account
