Anyway: Why there is no information on the Store that game require Monthly payments and give 30 free days time?
killedbyping wrote: »I see no valid reason why would console version use sub over f2p model. Who would agree to pay for both xbox\ps4 online sub and game sub at the same time ?
Sub payment also least profitable model for consoles.
Can we please keep this discussion about release date, not payment model? Thanks.
If this information is true, then 1.6 has to arrive on that day at the latest. Probably earlier so ZOS still has time to fix the most important bugs (but I don't know the process of releasing games on consoles, can they change the build until the last moment?)

ofc They can, but its not smart. As good remember there was drama with Assassins Creed Unity and early patch that was lead people to download a lot of extra data - *** hit the fan that day. "Why i have to download 8 GB when i have CD!"

Haha, I didn't actually open the MS store page and I thought this was a digital version (does ESO even have digital versions on consoles, then?) They'd have to send it out before that date too, so they must be ready quite soon. In that case, 1.6 would definitely be a day 1 patch - and I'm not sure if ZOS would do that, it doesn't really make sense. Unless they push out the PTS version on consoles and then patch it... which also doesn't make sense, but y'know, ZOS.Bloodystab wrote: »Can we please keep this discussion about release date, not payment model? Since the supposed date is already in February my guess is that it is not going to happen then. If that would be true then there would be already mention about it and marketing started. Doubt they do some stealth launch for consoles. Not the first time sites have supposed release date that is then pushed forward.

So we can expect a well polished 1.6 sometime this month, then a small patch or two (100 mb) just before feb 24 to make sure it is perfect.

Agree, they need a solid marketing campaign prior to printing and releasing a bunch of discs. Maybe they are just testing getting ready to flag the real release date...

There are 2 options imho, give PC 1.6 to Beta tests and do little fixes before console release like You said or deliver 1.6 same day as console release, so all player base's will start from somehow same spot - we all know its going to be really BIG update and game changer. + Character transfer option.
But that's only my speculations. And we don't know if this date is real.
Consoles have separate servers, but ZOS said they're waiting with console release until the Champion and Justice systems are ready. If they can make everything work before 24.02., that's great, but I'm not so sure about it.wenxue2222b16_ESO wrote: »Depends I suppose if console players will be on the same servers as the rest of us or not.
If they are seperate servers then they could keep them running on different versions of the game if they needed to.
I recall one time in LOTRO when the EU players waited a good week for an update that the US servers had already got - there was something horribly gamebreaking about it so they delayed rolling it out to the EU until they fixed it in the US.

First, as I recall, Feb 24, 2015, was the date on Amazon a few weeks ago until they changed it suddenly to Dec 31, 2015. Correct me if I am wrong.
Second, Update 6 will be an OK time to introduce it to console players. Even as they progress in Veteran Ranks, if they still allow progression in Veteran Ranks when Update 6 actually ships, they will be earning CP as they progress. For console players, this is fine.

If the console release date was really going to happen in less than two months, the ZOS marketing machine would be revved up and running at redline by now.
I don't think it is much longer than that, but until Champion and Justice is out and tuned up, the console release is not going to happen. So, figure soon after these two features are in place.
Well I asked about the sub in their chat and they said it doesn't require subscription, just Xbox live.
So ESO f2p?
