Purpose of every campaign - changing home campaign - Thornblade

Is there a difference between Campaigns? From the beginning of my character I used Campaign Thornblade. But almost every evening this queue is that long that you don't want to play anymore in this Alliance War part.

Now I'm at lvl5; should I change my home campaign, does this mean that I start from scratch? Losing Alliance skills which I've already earned?

You can freely change campaigns without losing any of your gained experience. However, you will naturally lose your place on the leaderboard of the campaign you are leaving.

You don't lose your progress or most of your AP if you change homes but there is an AP fee. 15k AP I think, haven't done it myself.

At any rate, you don't have to re-home, you do have a guest campaign option. Haderus seems to be catching the overflow from Thornblade lately, at least in NA campaigns, so you are welcome to join us there if you like. Right click on the campaign you want to guest in and select "guest". As a guest you still earn AP and can advance rank, but you don't show up in the emperor leaderboard and cannot earn that title in your guest campaign.

Or you can re-home if you like, but most people use a guest campaign when Thornblade is full.

I'm not playing 24/24 7/7, so the leaderboard position doesn't intrest me There is still a life outside ESO.

But in fact I didn't know exactly the difference between the home and guest. So in that case I'll now change.
