Now that @ZOS_GinaBruno has given additional clarity on the lack of tracking XP for vet players and the intent to not reward vet players at all for their efforts I would like to know what ZOS expects vet players to be doing for the next month or so until 1.6 goes live? If our progress doesn't count then are you suggesting we play low level alts only? What if we have no open character slots? Are you suggesting we cancel our subs temporarily? Please let us know what you expect vet players to do in a system that is going to be erased in the future with no compensation or acknowledgement of any kind.

Sure, it won't increase your champion points for 1.6, but then neither does 'doing nothing' so why worry about it.28 -

✭✭✭I'm still doing dailies and trying to get these dang trials down. (Seriously how is it that I'm partially colorblind and can still stay out of the red better than most of these people?). See here's the thing......They are reworking all the numbers in the game. So until I see proof that somehow going through Caldwells is going to earn me more CP than doing endgame that I am already doing then I am going to stay the course.
And even if it does then so what!? I mean what does it matter if someone has a few more CP than me? In PVP the effects will be minimum and skill will still beat out that extra .01%. In PVE if someone has a better build than me and is in my group then it helps me out. I have no interest in capping out CP in a system that is meant to continue to grow you character for a few years.3 -

✭✭✭✭In all honesty, I think this is a problem only for people between VR1 and VR14 who haven't completed Cadwell's yet. I'm putting all non-repeatable quests on hold. However, if you've already finished them, you just keep doing whatever you did before. It's repeatable, so you're not losing anything - and whether you keep playing or not, you're still going to be rolled back to 50 eventually, so it doesn't matter what you do now. Might as well do something you enjoy. Although I'm afraid at this point "something you enjoy" means "playing a different game for the next two months" for many people.7 -

I'm doing this. I'm also working on achievements, and finally getting all (8) characters to 3/3 for ALL Hirelings. I've been hoping on some Alts lately too and frankly it's been a nice change from only playing my VR14 NB. I'm of the group that could care less how many, if any, CP points they give me to start with since those people who play many hours/day will leap ahead of casuals fast anyway and still have their epeen in a short time.Why not just do what you normally would do if there was no 1.6 coming?4 -

Maxed fighter's guild and ignoring Undaunted as it's not compelling enough to spam chat looking for a pledge group. Doing a lot of pvp with guildies. ✭✭✭✭If set your bias and dislike for the CP decision aside and take a moment to think you could come up with a ton of stuff to do that would benefit you in 1.6 and 1.7. Start with gathering mats and gold to prepare for respecs and new gear.

That is true and is basically what I have been doing for the last couple weeks (if I even bother logging in) but picking flowers is not exactly compelling gameplay for an MMO charging a monthly fee.4 -

✭Right now, I am leveling up "Kotaro-Atani", a ALT Duplicate of my Main VR14 Khajiit Nightblade character (Kotaro Atani) to VR1 or higher (hopefully to VR14 if I can), to take advantage of the 30 CP fiasco, not be disadvantaged by it.
Oh yeah, other than doing the main quest (so I can get the skill points, to Kick Molag Bal in his $%^&^, again, and to get to the Cadwell's Silver location so I can Grind there to maybe VR9 or VR10 and then maybe off to Craglorn to grind back to VR14).. I am only leveling him through grinding and dailies, no quests at all...
Why?
So he can still do the Silver and Gold Cadwell quests and get CP for them in the Future..amongst the many many other quests I had already done on my original main.
My original Kotaro Atani, well he will just become my main crafter and be retired from adventuring from now on..(unless of course, ZOS gets off their butts and actually gave us the tracked XP to CP they said they would... Yeah right..I'll believe it when I see it).
And a big Thank You to ZOS for the tracked XP to CP Conversion you are giving to your most loyal fan base, you are so awesome for that..
I mean if it wasn't for "that" I just wouldn't be leveling my ALT Duplicate and grinding the whole way through to take advantage of getting CP from quests..

So sick of reading these idiotic comments. You think having 14 veteran levels being wiped away without compensation to be made equal to someone who is level 50 is "even footing"? You really think getting some small ratio of the XP earned from vet levels (not 1 for 1 just some ratio up to a cap) is getting a headstart? Why don't you delete your characters at the start of 1.6 and start over so you wont have a headstart on those new players who start the game fresh when 1.6 launches. That's essentially what is being asked of vet players.17
