I pour a glass of whiskey and wonder why the hell I do this to myself.

I'm all Stamina (bow for dmg // 1H + shield for survival when tank looses aggro) in PVE and I'm trying hard to build a sustainable stamina build fo PvP, but so far, I find magicka to be more pleasant in PVP.

It might not be more efficient (I probably get more kills with my bow) but I like the magicka build (healing staff // 1H + Shield) better in PvP because it allows me to Deal burst Dmg + Support Heal//Shield pretty efficiently while being ablt run and hide away from trouble for a looooong time spamming shadow disguise thanks for the insane regen rate we have in this game.

Going stamina means : I'm good at single target DPS (unless it's a DK of course) ...and...thats it ^^

I might come back with a build if I ever find something I'm happy with as it's what your post was about :)

    Imperial.
    Vampire.
    Bow/DW.
    Stamina enchants on everything.
    Crusher enchants on weapons.
All but 20 points in health, 20 in magicka.
    Armour - trade secret.

    Strategy:

Patience. So many NBs with bow die because they go for the first target without checking behind them.

One snipe. No more. Then weave poison injection and light attacks till dead.

For lulz, disengage before the target is dead and wait for the poison DoT to kill them.

Lastly, camo hunter is your best friend. An extra 1k damage without any need to think.

All weapon damage enchants (one fire enchant optional)
    20 health, 42 stam
    Hundings/Torugs/Dominion Bow+rings

Single bar - Injection/Swallow/Lethal/Shadowy/Mark - Either soul assault or flawless

AOE Bar - Sap/Tornado/Camo Hunter (for solo), Shades for group or DK target/Elusive mist/razor caltrops - Bats or Veil

Snipes do 1.9k unblocked/unshielded from stealth
    Heavy attacks do 1.4k
Injections do 450 at high health, 800 at low w/tick

    Tornadoes do 900+ on execute.

Flexible build, good for staying alive and getting the hell away. Merry chases indeed. Only a bolt sorc can catch me, and thats if I am low on magicka before I find a place to stealth out and reset. At the same time, sorcs are a delicacy, templars are usually easy fodder, other nightblades are a crapshoot whoever shoots first/out of stealth/gets the drop, DKs (especially flappy ones) are the hard counter, but thats what shades and AOE bar is far.

    All medium armor, Bow/DW.

Bow skill bar: siphoning strikes, shadow cloak, snipe, shades, venom arrow. Ultimate: INcapacitating strikes

DW skill line: impale, siphoning strikes, rapid strikes, sparks, aspect of fear. Health=20. Stamina=41(soon to be 42 when i get the last rank) ultimate: Veil of blades

This is aimed more towards fighting melee builds than ranged builds. I use sparks to force melee attacks to miss, rapid strikes for DPS, shaeds to help take down the never ending blocks, aspect of fear when my enemy perma blocks too much, siphoning strikes to keep myself from running out of stamina and magicka, venom arrow to interrupt channeled attacks, and shadow cloak to get myself out of a jam.

Not the best build out there, but its the best non-insta gank NB build i could come up with so far.

I'm normally magicka based, but when I feel like trolling people with a bow I do this:

-3 shadow walker jewlery with weapon power enchants
-5 piece archers mind medium armor
    -2 torugs pact medium armor
-1 torugs pact legendary bow with sharpened trait for armor pen.

    Shadow mundus stone

62 points into stamina with all stamina enchants to go as far over soft cap as possible.

    ulti -flawless dawnbreaker

Camo hunter + snipe from stealth for 2000 + 500 or so damage. Then cast another snipe and use shadowy disguise so it has a 100% chance to crit for 1500 or so. Then disappear, never to be seen... Easy 800 AP.

I have had great success with mine, both in duels and smaller group action. I can go toe to toe with any class, with fantastic sustain and amazing burst potential.

For me, the key is to build like a Dragon knight, not like a Nightblade. The more I crafted it for hand to hand combat as opposed to stealth burst, the better it did.

    Basic details:

Arena set is key. Your mitigation comes from dodge, cloak and shields, very little blocking. Breaking out of stuns with Arena costs much less than blocking damage plus incoming stuns. The rest is up to you but Arena is a must.

Main bar is 2hand, set up like this:
Rally (heals plus damage increase) Focused Attacks (Stam regen and assassin class Crit bonus modifier)
    Execute (for executing!)
    Crit Charge (Main burst)
Dark Cloak (Main protection skill, purges and allows damage less repositioning)

All in all that bar giveat you heals, regen, huge burst, high mobility, a dot purge and damage reduction.

Essential 2nd bar is sword and board. This is your pressure, defense and sustain:
Mass Hysteria (how you drain stamina from enemies)
Puncture or Reverb bash (armor or health debuff)
    Elude (dodge chance op)
Shield charge (damage, damage mitigation and stun)
    siphoning strikes (sustain)

When fully buffed, I get about 180 Stam regen, 2500+ stamina, 3k health and about 1700 magica.

With this build I can sustain 1v1 practically forever. I've had duels versus DKs and Templars that go on over 15 minutes. In a small group you bring stuns, sustain, debufff and hugggge burst, even specced for regen I Crit charge at a lower end of 750 and up to 1400.

I hope this helps any who want to build an in your face NB out of stamina, played right it can go toe to toe with the best!

An incredibly resource efficient build. It's mobile, has great resource return and can deal some damage. It's fun and doesn't make you feel like a noob with snipe :P You can go ahead and slot snipe to solo resources if you're a solo player but still want to help the Cyrodiil effort. This build does not use snipe. This also isn't a gank build. Sure, it can be used to gank but it's really built for open battles.

At VR14, another thing to note about the resource return is that you gain:
    • 73 stam and about 50ish with each light attack.
    • Chance on any attack no matter weapon or ability to restore 15% of mag/stam. In this case, the stam return is about 369

    Imperial Race
7 medium (5 hundings, 4 ashen grip, 3 shadow walker(1 stam rec, 2 weapon damage glyphs)
health and stam softcapped. Magicka at 1600
Weapon damage 210ish with syphoning attacks 100% up time.
    Stam Rec at 136
    bow/1hs

    Bar 1(Bow)
    Dark cloak
    shades
    syphoning attacks
    Piercing Mark
    Poison injection
Ult: FG Flawless Dawnbreaker(extra damage from weapon attacks)

    Bar 2(1h/s)

Well, I normally run dw/bow or 2h/bow stam builds... but I've been doing that since beta...

So, yesterday I started toying around with a medium armour, stam, dual s+b build utilizing blocking and dodge / miss chance % as my defence.

5 pieces histbark, 4 ashen's grip, 3 shadow walker jewels.

1rst bar: Dark Cloak, Invasion, Concealed Weapon, Absorb Magic, Sap Essence
    Ulti: Devouring Swarm

2nd bar: Dark Cloak, Mass Hysteria, Pierce Armour, Evasion*, Blur
    Ulti: Soul Tether

*I've just discovered that histbark's dodge chance and evasion's aren't currently stacking... but ZOS are "looking into it". So, I may change that out.

I'd say, so far... it works fairly well. It certainly a lot easier to manage my resources than my usual builds.

My survivability is way, way up... but I'm not quite as lethal as I used to be.

It's a fun alternative, though, to the usual stealthy assassin builds that I normally prefer.

Go into light armor and resto on the second bar with healing ward, not only will your survival increase by almost double, but all your attacks will cost less, leading into resource management you didnt think was possible.

Was my old build in a nutshell, with a few different skills mishmashed here and there, when i didnt have a DK AOE dps toon, and used my NB for everything.

@ Satiar : I just discovered how powerful rally is thanks to your post :)

Until yesterday I was using the skill but did not morph it as the description was vague and the only heal number you see in it is 89 at the end of rally (which is pretty useless)
Truth is upon reactivation after 10-15s or at the end of it, Rally usually heals me for 1100! Muuuch more interesting :)

Race: khajiit werewolf : 115 stamina regen before food and buffs.
mundus: warrior but may swap to shadow or steed sometimes.
    Stats:22 points health, 40 stamina

3 hawk eye armor, 2 ring plus 4 hunding's rage armor

hunding hammer with precise and crusher enchant meant

hunding bow with sharpened and crusher enchant

All gear is legendary as this one is max ranked in all crafting skills.

    1st bar: hammer time
execute or wrecking blow: always seem to need the one telel doesn't have slotted XD
    critical rush : gap closer
rally: keep this up as much as possible for heals and damage bonus
efficient purge: Telel will swap to dark cloak sometimes but this is way more useful
Debilitate: ranged, non reflectable, and quick to cast plus debuffs

    2nd bar: mah bow.
    poison injection
    lethal arrow
degeneration: non reflectable , dot with some health returns.
Dark shades: for annoying people and wearing down blockers. If I'll be on a wall defending for some time I'll swap to arrow barrage for ranged AOE
Mirage: need to remorph to the other one but this is for avoiding some attacks in between dodge rolls, and the crit bonus.

Not super deadly on my own but as a vulture like skirmisher I always have some thing to throw at an enemy in order to bring them down while they're focused on other players. It also lets me contribute to keep assaults by using purge on those aroundeme. The survivability isn't so bad either as I can dodge roll , pop a tripot and recast rally for quick heals.

I tried light armor (5 pieces seducer and some magnus) and destro staff and i reall didn't like it. So i switched back to my stamina build.

Also i tried 1 handed/shield which also worked well in groups with blocking which used stamina and then use only magicka skills.

I might drop vampire, but i like the passives. I only became vampire so i coul stack speed with night silence to hunt vampires. But its hard to go back to slow speed and give up hunding for nights silence again.

Edit: all gear is purple and have 3 pieces (1 dagger and 1 armor piece and my bow) legendary. I don't have mroe to make legendary because my v12 nightsilence is full legendry and i need a load more stuff to make more legendary)
