New global auction forum opened: ESO Trade

Since Zenimax apparently has no interest in implementing a global auction house, and there are many players who want such a system, I have created a forum for this purpose.

ESO Trade is for players who don't enjoy traveling between 40 different wayshrines and guild traders just for a chance to maybe find an item they are looking for. There are players who don't enjoy spamming zone chat for buy/sell orders for hours on end with no luck. There are also solo players who aren't part of a trading guild, or any guild, who also need an avenue to buy and sell goods and services other than zone chat.

I've just started ESO Trade, and I'm still working out some minor details, but please go right ahead and sign up and become a member. There are currently trade sections for the EU and NA servers, as well as general discussion. I will add more sections such as player guides, gear guides, loot locations, guild recruitment, and others if there is a significant interest in these topics. Let me know what you would like to see at ESO Trade and I will do my best to get it done.

You will be able to buy and sell gear, items, motifs, materials, and services (such as 9-trait crafting or master enchanting) between all Alliances on both the EU and NA servers. Make sure to read the Trade Forum Rules when you sign up. I currently have only the default forum avatars and ranks set up, but if you will just be patient, I will have the site farther along later in the week. Hopefully many players will get some use from ESO Trade and be able to find items they have been looking for as well as find buyers for items they have been trying to sell.

Trading guilds are also welcome to post sales and locations of your guild traders.

Well, good traders long time using topside trading guilds to sell their staff, with fair prices there, players can sell anything in few hours so such players who are part of disciplined trading guilds don't need zone chat for sells. Atm economy system are very clever in game as well as effective, so ZOS probably not even think about global AH especially with future plans for trading and so on.

Thanks. I've only seen screenshots of ESO Outpost because it is no longer there, but ESO Trade won't be quite as fancy as that. Not yet anyway.

My hope is that many players will get some use out of it and find items that they have been looking for quite a while.

Good luck btw, but still top guild stores located in Craglorn or Reapers march, its 99.9% chance that you will find in those locations what you need, why someone need to run zone to zone? ZOS just need to cut numbers of NPC traders around the world as they plan to as far i know, then it will be more clearn for players who dont understand that they dont need to run for empty store locations with 1-2 pages on it.

If ZOS implemented a search feature for all the guild store within an alliance, then I would be happy and stop complaining about not having a global auction house. The other night I wasted over an hour, traveling to each guild store, to found a armor item.

What a big a waste of time.

If you are looking for an end game item, yes, Not if your are looking for something, or let's say anything, you might need while leveling. Now, you can't get ANYTHING whenever you want in any game or trade, but those other games offer you a much, much bigger chance of finding that obscure, little item you just want or need.
It's not always about profit. Sometimes it's about the simple fact of having a chance of getting something.

To @OP: Thanks for making this and I hope it will find it's place in ESO. I will definitely register and I hope many others will to. Even those that find ESO's trade system good.

As much as I don't think an AH should be implemented IG, I think that this kind of forums should be implemented in official forums..

VR14 Footman Gauntlets, can't find them anywhere. That must be the 0.1%.

Guy (and gals), I would appreciate it if you would get the word out in-game to your friends, guilds, and players in zone chat. It would be nice if we could get a good trade hub going so no one has to search endlessly for items and set pieces.

I got the ball rolling with the first post in NA DC. I'm looking for pieces to the Shroud Of The Lich and Draugr's Heritage sets.

Also, does anyone know if we are able to sell/trade items via in-game mail to players from a different faction? For example, can I (as an NA DC player) send an item to an NA EP player if I know their @ name?

To your last part, yes. I regularly make cross faction deals.
Although, convincing them it's a good idea to do business with the enemy is sometimes challenging.

That's because I didn't advertise it all that much. Now that ESO has been released on consoles, and they don't even have zone chat or an easy way to trade, I added console sections to it.

It's seen more traffic in the past 24 hours than it ever has. I'm glad it's being utilized now, and hopefully will continue to do so.

Its been tried many time before but it hasnt worked. Would it be fun if everything was easily attainable? Basically one crafter who can supply all the food to whole playerbase? How about the rest of crafters who would want to make a name for themselves too? GAH is AWESOME if you accept the change, theres lots of good what comes with it and most of all its different.

Imagine all that spam, and people would start to use the forums for everything instead of Guild Auction Houses.

I honestly dont get this, there isnt even that much to buy.

Which misses the very obvious point that a level 8 player in need of Mats has no way to get to either of those places.

I'm VR4 on my main, and I have only found what I was looking for twice now out of over 50 attempts to find stuff.

The Kiosk system doesn't work unless you are a) In a guild able to afford a good kiosk, and b) level 50+.

For the rest of the player base trading in this game sucks.

Question : What if I wanna do a sorta "service" trade that wasn't exactly an item trade , that service being me crafting Imperial Items for players and giving them said items for a small fee , would it be cool for me to post something like that on ESO Trade?
