What happens to Veteran Gear when the Champion System comes out?

So when the final phase of the Champion System hits, and everyone reverts to level 50, what happens to the gear?

Currently we have players wearing VR12 gear that is better than VR1 gear. Does that all just revert to level 50? So someone wearing VR1 Warlock will now have equally good gear to someone currently wearing VR12?

And what about crafting materials? Does my Voidbloom go away? Or revert to the level 50 version?

The simplest answer you're going to get? No one knows, and Zenimax isn't saying. Anyone who says otherwise is just speculating.
