Server Reset on Campaign Restart

Do you guys feel that the beginning of a new Cyro Campaign should start with a clean wipe of the points as well as a reset of Keeps and Scrolls?

I think we should all start off fresh at the start of a new campaign... Am I the only one?

TBH the reason I think it doesn't is to Give the losing factions a Point to keep finishing down the stretch

No. It would make any campaign under 14 day duration unplayable, as everything your faction worked hard to get would just be lost the next 4 days(save home keeps)

thornblade is not the only campaign people play on. It is the most populated, but not the only one; and not every camapign has a huge month-long duration

You are not but I am all against it.

It would not only make new emperors at the start of a campaign being crowned even faster without having really accomplished anything (and I am fully aware that the leaderboards currently don't really show off skill, thank you).

It would also take away the incentive to fight at the end of a campaign that is already lost.

Also, from my perspective it would go in the wrong direction as I would prefer leaderboards of both players and factions being determined by points, or whatever better system it could be, during the last x days, making the fight more dynamic.

I don't think the map should wipe but sometimes I do wish we could rotate starting gates without needing to change alliances. I know it'll never happen due to lore, but there is some really nice variation in terrain and unless you're the dominant faction you don't really get to spend time fighting in different locations all that often.

No Goldie, you're not the only one. That the losing (and quite often weaker) sides usually start with a handicap due to the number of keeps that are held by the opposition is a ridiculous idea to me.
To appease the masses perhaps some things should reset but not others. Emperorship for example should not reset, but held keeps should.

I like the idea of a complete reset at the start of a campaign. It might be a little difficult for the shorter campaigns, though, and result in a lot more former emperors. But then we could drop 1 or 2 of the shorter campaigns at the same time. I think we have enough people for two competitive servers.

During maintenance there should be ZERO point gain and then when the campaign ends and starts over the map and emp should be reset.

I remember when wabba 1.0 ended i log on and was super confused why the map looked the same

Of EU servers, only the noob campaign, where pace is indeed very slow, would be affected. 14 and 7 day campaigns are buff servers and reset would not matter; they would be painted back to blue or yellow respectively before the nightfall.
