I love this game, for the most part. I don't have a problem with the animations, or switching weapons or any of the other big ticket items people have been having issues with.
The problem I have is having to switch weapons to a staff to heal. This really kind of takes away from the ''paladin'' or ''classic cleric'' type of game play we could do in other ES games. It makes me feel like I am reduced to a plate wearing sorcerer when I am in healing mode.
I hope at some point this will get removed and we will be able to heal regardless of what weapon we are carrying.... The Restoring Light ''class'' isn't enough on it's own to work as a group healer. You have to have restoration staff skills in your skills to be successful.
Oh, the other thing that aggravates me is having to choose a set amount of skills from the long list of skills I have learned... Do I forget all the other ones I have learned when I go into battle (with the 5 five I have chosen) until I come back and ''re-learn'' some others in my list?
I've never understood the concept of limiting us to five of our learned skills. It doesn't make it more ''challenging'' or ''strategic'', it makes it annoying...

Well... you do realize there are only a set number of keys on a keyboard right??I like the minimalist idea of skills because it really forces you to make a strategic choice before you go into battle. You can't just have all of your skills slotted and ready to go at a moments notice, you have to choose what is necessary for this particular boss.

I do. I also know almost every other mmo out there allows the use of all the skills you have learned. It's more of the principle of the thing. You don't ''forget'' the skills you have learned when you go into battle. You use everything you've learned to win, not just certain things. So having to pick and choose isn't really a ''tactical'' decision when your limited in what you can pick and choose.
I know, most people are ok with it, I am ''ok'' with it, I just would like to ability to use what I have learned when I want.
