Veteran ranks won't disappear for several months, they will run alongside Champion system, until they are sure the champion system works properly.

You're not forced to do anything. You can stay at level 10 and kill mudcrabs in the starter's islands. Play how you want.

I don't believe so, the champion system is supposed to replace the veteran system, it's just they have an overlap to make sure the champion system will work first.
But since it replaces the veteran system, it makes sense that it has to start working with you from level 50. I have three VR2 characters and no VR14 characters, so I will be keeping an eye on it in that regard myself.People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!
