This condition has gone on ever since we were able to but stuff from guild stores. About 90% of the time the item or items I bought do not show up in my mail unless I log my character and log back on. Seems to me this problem needs to be corrected.

    I have only had one purchase require a Log Out/In to get, all the other ones show up in a minute or two. I have had a purchase take a few minutes to show up, but nothing I buy is ever needed right her right now or I will die, so it's OK.

    So, I have to ask, how long are you waiting?

    Yeah, I run a few add ons - sometimes reloadui works, but not 100%.

    Thanks for the quick response. Yes I have tried typing /reloadui and that does not do it. Also I am not running any ad-ons. It is not a matter of waiting either. I have waited for over 30 minutes to try and retrieve a purchased item without re-logging all to no avail. I hope that helps narrow the issue.

    This issue has been very prevalent since the beginning. Your response leads me to believe that ZOS is unaware of this issue? I find that kinda shocking to be honest. It effects almost everyone and /reloadui does not fix it. If you do not get purchased items withing 2 or 3 mins, you have 3 options:

    1. Wait up to 30 minutes
    2. log out and back in
    3. Use a wayshrine

    People have just accepted it as a bug that will never get fixed. It is so common that it only gets mentioned by new players.

    Ive also found the mails show up when I zone from one area to another. So I buy stuff then zone someplace and get the mail.

    "/reloadui" have never helped me. I have to log out and log in all the time, when I buy something; I tried also to wait some minutes some times, but nothing... just the log out helps.

    Zoning will often resolve the issue.

    The first purchased item will always show for me. It is after the first that I will see delays and the need to log/zone to see it.

    Since the beginning I have found that relogging is the fastest way to get my purchases if I need them right away to craft something. Traveling to a wayshrine to go to another zone takes longer and reloadui does not help. Sometimes purchases show up on their own within a minute without manual intervention but usually it takes much longer.

    New players: this has nothing to do with add-ons or anything you are doing. You are doing nothing wrong! This is how the game was built to deliver your guild store purchases and it has always been this way.

    I understand that there may be some technical limitation making it very hard or impossible to jumpstart the mail right away. I'd love it if our mails arrived immediately, but that might just not be doable.

    However, relog and zoning seems to work about 99.99% of the time. There is some action there that is triggering the mail to show up. Can we get a "retrieve mail" button added to the mail UI that can mimic whatever is forcing the mail to go through? It can basically force whatever action a relog/rezone does without having to actually do that.

    Although it would be nice if it could just go directly into your inventory, probably the main reason they have it go to email is sometimes you purchase items for your other characters, not just the ones you are playing at the time. So having it sent via mail allows it accessible for any character. Perhaps what ZOS could do is give you the option at the time of purchase for it to go to inventory or mail.

    We do ZOS no favors in not reporting things that do not function as designed in the game. I am guilty of this as well and was remise in reporting this condition. I assumed, incorrectly, that the issue had been reported and was well known. I think Alphashado got it correct in that folks just dealt with the issue and did not report it.

    Please EOS keep polishing and fixing this game. It is too good to end up in the trash heal of well-intentioned MMORPG’s

    It's pretty disappointing that ZOS was unaware of an issue that has been around for months and been discussed in the forum and chat. I would have thought they monitor us a little better. I'm also disappointed that their first response is to try to blame the problem on add-ons. I might not use add-ons if the default UI wasn't so lacking in features. It's past time for ZOS to take ownership of a situation they created instead of trying to blame us for the corner they boxed us into.

    The good news is that recently (2 months or so) it seems to be working most of the time - for me, of course, I don't know about others. It takes a few minutes, but it's alright. However, earlier I had the same problem as everybody else and had to use a wayshrine for mail to appear.

    It didn't look like blaming add-ons to me, just getting the whole picture. Their tech people do need to know if they're dealing with a completely clean game or if anything else could be interfering. And you know, I actually wouldn't be surprised if a common problem or two were really caused by an add-on since almost everyone is using them (thanks to the brilliantly designed UI), so we might not even notice the difference between modded and vanilla.

    I'm not saying this is the case here, as this issues has always been present in the game.

    Maybe 'blame' wasn't a good word choice. I'm sure add-ons do cause problems and any good troubleshooting must take them into account. On the other hand, add-ons can only do what the API allows them to do, and the limits are set by ZOS. It's a very circular problem, but it starts with the release of a barebones UI and encouragement to dress it up with add-ons. Here, my word choice is clear-I blame ZOS for poor design decisions.

    Only log out/log in works. Only once or twice have I had purchased items show up on their own.
    /reloadui doesn't help.

    This has become standard since the release of the game. I've just started to relog as the normal procedure for getting something through the mail. If it's something for future use then I don't. Just this week I purchased some things and kept playing and they never came in until I relogged.

    Everyone gets this problem. Mails (or guild store bough items) arrive when sender or recipient do one of the following: log out or change zone by traveling (wayshrine or direct teleport to player). It has absolutely nothing to do with add-ons - it's the same for everyone. To be honest, I can't believe it's still an unknown issue to developers. It's been like this since launch.

    I know for certain that I have sent both /bug and /feedback reports on this several times since launch, suggesting a "check mail" button in the mail UI or an automatic check when you open the mail window expecting a delivery. ZOS acting like it is an unknown issue makes me want to /facepalm, honestly, but I guess the brave community managers posting here in the forum can not be expected to know all the issues in the bug tracker database.

    I am quite sure this has been reported, numerous times, by many people other than myself, and ignored by the developers, like so many other UI issues.

    only 1 year has passed and its still the same.

    care about the basics. interface, client, lags, bugs. new equip doesnt make any changes because you die 90% of the time through lag....
