Guild Emblem on Armor

Hi there.
I was wondering if wouldn't it be better to have an option of painting your guild emblem on your helmet/chest/shield instead of those ugly as hell tabards.

1. You could buy at the vendor "Guild Emblem Stencil".
Stencil would come in different sizes:
- "Small" for gloves or boots
- "Medium" helmet, shoulder
- "Large" shields chests.

2. At the dye station you could choose where to put it. To make it easier on ZoS perhaps have a few fixed places on an armour that can have theese.

3. Choose emblem transparency

4. Choose if you want your guild chosen colours as an bacground and choose bacground shape

Done. Guild identification with style. Those tabards are not only ugly but they are soooo 1990s idea.

The Tabards make sense in a PvP situation, to be used as a rallying point or to identify Guild Mates in the middle of a large battle. A badge like you described would not be noticeable in most of the battles there from what I have seen.

However a Badge or Emblem would be nice other times, but there is a visibility problem with that. It would not be all that visible for most others who are looking at your character from a distance even without a zerg battle going on. Perhaps a Guild Color Scheme could be implemented by the guilds. Since we can save color schemes and apply them, one could apply the Guild Colors when needed, and then re-apply the colors they want the rest of the time after. That would be more noticeable from a distance than an Emblem.

The downside of that is all members of the guild would have to have the same achievements or ones that have similar colors.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

I dont want tabards removed. They have their uses.

In my idea emblem would be smaller - fitted to the armor, stylish version of tabard. Less visible but covering less of your armour.

The idea of different sizes is because some people would like a small badge on their arm like a military and some would like to paint huge guild logo on back of their huge heavy armor cuirass and slam your face with it.

I'd actually like just a little more customization in the guild logo on Tabards if I had my wish. Particularly, I think it would be nice if we could do like Star Trek online has for fleet logos, which is layering of logos on each other.
