Can This Run ESO on Lowest Settings?

mrappb14_ESO
I'm going to be traveling soon, and I'm looking for an inexpensive light computer. I don't expect to play, but would like to be able to sign in and get my hireling mail. Would this computer allow me to that?

I do think this should work for the game..you are pretty much at recommended minimums and it won't be pretty but for getting mail and researching items etc you should be fine.

No, its a toshiba, don't buy a toshiba lol
Especially with just intel HD graphics....

Edit: Jokes aside, 4gb of memory and only intel HD graphics won't run the game. Even at its lowest settings. You might be able to get it to run briefly before it overheats and crashes.

Wouldn't this one be better and cheaper?

    Not really. 1.9 ghz processor
    4gb memory
and still only intel HD graphics?

Still won't run the game. You need a dedicated graphics card. It will overheat and crash, I guarantee that.

non dedicated graphics (intel HD) have had a lot of problems. Sometimes it wont even start the game let alone let you play it. I would not use anything that does not have dedicated graphics.

    Reportedly yes: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-Bay-Trail.103037.0.html

Note that this particular Celeron is Bay Trail, i.e. something Intel now has in place of Atoms, not usual gutted Core i3. In another words, bad, bad CPU with graphics just as bad and that 25fps is most likely while standing still in empty area gazing into ground.

That's almost exactly my laptop specs when I turn off dedicated GPU and it can run the game. It doesn't look pretty, but it runs. Since the OP just wants to check mail, it should be enough. I'm not sure about the CPU in the OP's suggestion, though.

Toshiba isn't giving the exact model of Celeron in the laptop (there are many different ones running at 2.16GHz) but I'd say that this computer would indeed allow you to start the game and log in for your mail. Don't expect more though.

I have a Samsung Series 9, less than 1 year old, 13.3" with low consumption Intel core i5 and integrated GPU, and I can't play with it. The game crashes after 10-20 minutes.

Straight lies my toshiba has better specs and with everything on the lowest it can barely run the game. If your suggesting that the OP throw away hundreds of dollars to check mail then permanently damage the computer because of over heating, sure it'll run, for mere minutes. And then your left with a hefty paper weight. Toshiba running on intel HD graphics with a game as un optimized as this will kill the computer.

graphics and processor will be a bottle neck, but its possible to run it.

    Possible ways to improve performance:
You may need to reduce settings (shadows, dynamic lighting, bloom, grass, and field of view are all system performance eaters). Install Process Lasso, use foreground boosting, set ESO's priority to high, turn off core parking and increase cpu frequency scaling to 100%, and kill non-essential processes with always terminate. You also may want to use any spare flash memory to augment your ram with ready boost and increase your page file to about 10 gigs.

Okay. Mine has excellent cooling, it's the one good thing about it. I have no idea how it would look like on a 11'-12' notebook as they aren't built for this kind of work - and I've never had a Toshiba. But I'm not lying about my experiences and I'm not suggesting anyone throws away their money. The OP needs a lightweight notebook, ESO or no ESO. And lightweight means it most likely will be terrible for gaming, so looking for a good gaming laptop with dedicated GPU is kinda pointless in this situation (thought there certainly are a few options).
