Okay another thread, and perhaps the beginning of holiday spirit, made me think of this topic. What's the very nicest thing another PLAYER has done for you in the game? Share your stories and don't be afraid to name names!

EDIT: I'd like to update this thread to also include this question: What are your favorite nice things to do in game? Do you randomly gift people or help them with quests? Is there a particular thing you go out of your way to do for your guildies? Share your tales of playing Santa with us!

Some very nice person in this forum is sending me runes, weapons and armor to deconstruct on a daily basis to help me get my alts crafting up

I haven't had many "nice" things done for me, generally because I'm usually in the position to help others as much as I can.

I would say that have a lot of great guildmates who would do all they could to be helpful in to eachother, which is probably one of the nicest things I've seen in game. Best example I have is someone winning a guild raffle for a set of gold armor, then offered it up to anyone else in the guild that may want it, even if it was split up into pieces to help others out.

I helped out a new person in cyrodiil. Supplied him with siege and showed him the ropes. He then sent me an imperial motif for helping him out. It was the last motif I needed!

Lent me the gold to get imperial, daedric, ancient elf, and barbaric motifs then quit playing so I didn't have to pay them back. I have helped others a lot too

Long list but here is the top.

Joia gave me my gold V14 dwemer restro staff.
Arcaius made me my mostly purple (all but one piece) V14 armor.
Solinar keeps me from being bored with the game. (Gotta love RP!)
Allanna has let me share a former guilds bank so I can store cooking ingredients.

Now, what have I done in return? I regularly give materials away. I have given people the Dwemer pages that they were missing to finish the set. I have given the rare motif books to a few. I have supplied purple sweet rolls to my friends. I have created plots for my guilds to do. (The above is the reason I stay broke. I keep giving things away)

Wanted to buy 2 tempering alloys from 1 guy when he was selling 10. he asked why only two, I aswered that I dont have money to pay for 10. He just gave me all of them. All 10 for free..

One guy that craft me a full set of epic armor whereas I was already having one but he insist on making me try hist bark instead of white strake ( he was right ^^.

Also once one raid leader let me join for AA whereas I had not done it before (you know no achievement you don t go...w8 but how can i get achievement if everybody ask the same ) It run really smoothly.And i was happy.

Had someone give me a couple 100 grand glyphs to decon to get my mains enchanting maxed out.

My guildies are always donating rare motifs and legendary items/mats for our raffles.

Had a guildie send me 10k gold just because oh ya know...he could.

Well I don't really ever stumble on a nice person, but my best friend (we bought this game together and still play avidly) usually gives me tri pots or any kind of potion for free.

I think the nicest I've done for people (being V14) is going to dark anchors when they are called out (or world bosses) and watch a group of players take it on. If they die I res them and when they kill it I do /cheer and stuff.

The first day of release a guy was giving away armor with exploration traits, then giving me and 20+ other people a teleport to every wayshrine in AD! Helping my alt get up to level 10 by discovering all the wayshrines and ranking up lots of skills made the second run to VR a whole lot easier! I tried to give him 5k of gold and he would not take it.

Sadly this player and many more nice players have left the game. I have tried to help the low level players as much as possible. Mostly giving away blue level 10-25 food and armor.

Personally, I haven't really had anything nice happen to me. But then again, I generally am questing in low populated areas so there aren't many people around. If I see someone in trouble though, I always try and help. No matter what

Back in april, when i had played for about 3 weeks i had 8 k gold and had found 4 books i was going to sell by cod mail to someone.
Because of the clumsy interface these days it would automaticly default to sent gold, and i sent the guy 4 books and 4 k gold ...
The dude logged off and was offline for 2 days.

I was very upset and ended up talking to a total stranger in zone chat, this person then sent me 4 k by email.
He was only a level 20.
2 days later i got my first dreugh wax refining jute and i sent it to him to say thx.

It seems like a lifetime ago, but i will never forget it. I almost quit the game that evening because i had gotten so depressed... He saved the day

After I joined my guild and we went around Cyrodiil a couple of times, some of my guildies got together and sent me enough gold to top up what I was saving to buy a horse so I could keep up with them during outings (I was just getting to level 30 at the time).

And one of them gave me a Nord motif when that was the last blue motif I needed.

Folks will just stop and help you fight mobs or bosses sometimes. There are a lot of nice people in this game. :-)

Sending research items for free. Chat/guild giveaways. People insisting on paying me for favors even when I say I'm glad to do it for free. It's like there's some secret Nicest Player on the Server competition going on.

When I was super upset about what ZOS did to the Night Silence Set poodlemasterb16_ESO crafted new awesome armor for me. And even though he has been pretty darned mean to me in the forums of late I am still grateful for that incredible kindness he did me and I will never forget it. People CAN be awesome.

My guild is full of super fantastic people who also do really nice things. Since I try to keep my whole (smallish) guild supplied with purple and blue foods Troclodyte sends me all their hirlings' food mats and Demonicic has paid me to respec so I could see what he was talking about (and he was right) and recently gave me 13,000 gold so I could afford the new horse I wanted and not have to wait any longer. My guildies in general are just pretty awesome and are always helping people out.

When, as a Vet 4 now, I go back to lower zones to finish off World Bosses I missed or a dungeon I missed I give a shout out in zone for anyone who wants to join me so they can get the goodies. I just think it's a nice thing to do.

I usually am the one trying to do nice things for others, but there are certainly many kind people in Cyrodiil willing to rez an ungrouped lvl10 who is, let's be honest, pretty much just out there messing around.

Once in Stormhaven (DC), I was waiting for a dolmen to come up. So I did the nearby light house quests while waiting, and as I got off the ship I noticed it was up. I rushed over, but when I got there I found a Vet player had already soloed it. However, they were just standing off to the side with the final boss diamond open. They waited for me to activate the orb and then took off before I could say anything. So I ended up getting credit and a free loot chest all because a player who was likely farming achievements decided to wait in a low traffic area for a player in the right level range to show up and claim the reward.

I don't have any one particular special instance that I can share, but really, it's all the small things that others can do for you that count. For example, asking for help with something in /zone chat like to take on a Dolmen and/or WB then having a couple of others replying "Sure, I'll help. Send invite!". That is what makes MMO's special.

Early on I got blown back by a mob and trapped behind some urns and junk in a delve and couldn't get back out. A kind passerby, once he realized I was not a bot, grouped with me and had me travel to him to get unstuck. The botter days were a dark time and I will always remember that kindnes.

I think I posted in an older thread about how I was given 14 soul gems by a random player once. I never thought I'd see such kindness and selflessness again, but I was wrong. Someone whom I often group up with [must have been reaaal tired of seeing me die] gave me 30 grand soul gems not long ago.

needless to say, I almost hyperventilated and he wouldn't accept any gifts from me for compensation. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. THANK YOU.

Can't say I've had anyone do anything particularly nice to me. But, people in general are really nice.

There have been countless times where I've been in trouble fighting a world boss and another player pops in randomly to help out, and I've done the same. People are always really nice for trade interactions too.

There have been a few times where I get into a "duel" with someone random in town just firing off abilities, running and jumping around. It's entertaining

oh wait, you mean in the game? Not quite sure but I've definitely given away some free purple recipes, motifs, and have crafted a lot of sets for free for others who didn't have the gold (nor were they asking me for anything).
