Constant high ping rate spikes MAC

Since the 1.5 patch the game has been very laggy and crashes back to the login screen at once an hour. I have seen PR's in the high 12k's pretty often. I have a recent 2013 IMAC with 1G vid card and turbo cable internet (time warner). I know time warner sucks but their turbo is at least as good as dsl so game should work better. I have also only ever played on med settings so computer and internet should be able to handle it.
