It would make some sense if the message at least mentioned which guild, and which people. Not being able to turn it off is a major design failure, though.

Easily one of the most irritating aspects of the game. Another thread on this yesterday or something... one guy said the funniest thing; 'We need the @name of whoever it was that came up with idea and notify him every time we get notified." Brilliant.

In the same thread someone else mentioned an add-on called BytheNine which allows you to block those notifications. So far, it seems to work beautifully for me.

Could not agree more. Guilds in this game do not mean the same as in other games. In many (if not most) cases, it's just a group of people that are together simply because they want to sell and/or buy something.
So the idea that we would care about one of our guildies finishing an achievement, is beyond logic or intellect. It's clear they had a complete rookie or similar, doing the UI. Like many have already said in other UI related threads, such an UI would not even get you a passing grade on any IT school, but it's good for a multi million dollar company. Go figure.

It is probably the most pointless notification you can get, as it actually tells you nothing!

Notifying us about guild mates completing a trial, but not mentioning which players exactly, or even from which guild kinda follows the same logic as sending us an "item sold" mail, but not mentioning what item, or even which guild store.

Probably, the same person/team is responsible for both of these.

@Zos this is how trial and sale notifications should look:
    Notifications/Mails
    Your Guild Mate(s) @name1 (,@name2, @name3,...) completed [Trial X] in [Y minutes]!
    Congratulations

Your listing of [Amount X of Item Y] in [Guild Z]'s store has been sold!

    Attached are your profits.

    Interface Options:
[ ] Notify me about guild mates' accomplishments

Yes, but was it an actual person that did those and many other fabulous UI parts? Of was it an amoeba? Let's face it. The amount of thought that went into designing UI is how much I would expect a single cell organism to have.

Love the title of this thread. LOL
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

I have been using that add-on for quite a while and honestly it's great. Once in a while, notifications will sneak through if they pop up right as you login, however typically this blocks them. Oh how nice it is not to be spammed with notifications.

There is a way to do that i believe but it involves using the chat filter for guilds. May or may not work. Im total stalker material so i like to know exactly when guildies complete trials. Sometimes, i show up at the trial entrance to meet them. They are always so surprised

Hey, Paul Sage, yet another QoL issues that keeps reappearing in the forums. I've been sending a similar request via in game tools for a while now.
    ** SYSTEM MESSAGES **

The guild trial and scroll drop notifications are really annoying. Please give us an option to toggle them.

Let's recap repetitive QoL discussions that have appeared in the forums recently:
    1. Ambiguous guild sale emails
    2. Practice Dummies
    3. Trial and Scroll notifications
Can you please address these issues?

As I said in the other thread there should be an auto grats toggle you can turn on. That way guild chat becomes flooded on every notification. Seems about on par with the actual notification.
