What Purpose does this serve in gameplay?

As you can see, my FPS goes from 100 to around 70/80 near this thing. Happened right after I logged in to go back to town, no one on since patch started moments ago and I took this hit.
This tells me these things are part of the keep lag issues. Remove them or make them do something like a steady stream of NPC reinforcements. We need that now since its VR14+ to the VR5's there.

Fruitdog✭✭✭✭In that link there's a screen shot of the two NPCs conjuring up some kind of white light portal. It's the two NPCs at the corner of every keep outer wall.0 -
Phaedrus✭✭✭As far as I understand this portal allows for the NPC's at keeps to re-spawn more quickly.
If you kill these two honor guards (and the other two in the opposite corner) the rest of the NPC's won't respawn. It's not a widely known or documented feature however.Phaedrus Wolf5 -
Phaedrus if thats true, then its a sart, but maybe they should work on it where you see them come out then run into he fight. Honestly I doubt it, because onces you kill the wall NPC I dont see shiznit again until we go inside. Haxnschwammer✭✭✭✭Fluffy is right, kill those NPCs to stop respawning other NPCs. This was mentioned somewhere in the Tutorial I think, but I can't remember where it was.
It's been some months now since I did that...Once I was a healer. Then I took a Wrobel to the knee.
