Hey all

I have a VR14 Sorc and I was thinking of making her my main healer. a lot of people are always looking for a healer to do daily's and a lot of other stuff so I thought I would hit you all up and gets some tips

I have levelled my resto staff already and I have a 5 piece warlock set I also have a few bits of the healer set but only 2 I think so far

Can someone help me with the skills I should be using and how I should be running the Sorc.?

Should I get magika to soft cap using glyphs and also maintain the required 2500 health? what else is important? crit chance weapon damage or spell damage? not really sure what effects healing.

I have healed in some dungeons before with guild mates but Imsure there are a lot of tips Im missing out on.

Thanks in advance

    - You won't be as effective as a templar healer.
    - Healing staff abilities (your only heals) are scaling with weapon damage. Use Surge to buff them.
    - You should have more than 2.5K health with the food buffs now.
    - Pick 4 abilities of the resto staff tree + Inner light on your main bar. Surge + some damage and utility on your 2nd bar.

I would forget about the Warlock set... it's overrated. When I heal on my sorc I use 5 piece Healer and 5 piece Eyes of Mara.

Biggest thing is to keep Power Surge up as much as possible as it buffs your heals.

Keep Siphon Spirit on bosses, keep Rapid Regen ticking on group and drop Healing Springs as needed.

Run Inner Light to buff your heals and ultimate regen.

Wow guys thanks so much for the detailed info.
I really appreciate it. Are we not in the same ball park as Templars when it comes to heals? or are we just slightly less effective?

I really want to be good at it so I can help everyone out if that means I have to also level a Templar as there is a big difference well its something I might have to do as well but in the mean time im hoping the Sorc can get it done

I'm sure you can manage just fine as a sorc, however templars have a whole class skill line devoted to healing and many people say they are far and away the best healers, but I have never played one.

I imagine the templar's restoring light skill line won't matter much once spellcrafting is out (That is if they don't make class skills impossible to imitate).

The Sorcerer's superior resource management will probably make them the healer of choice, leaving PvE Templars with the tanking niche.

Ok so if i just need to find some good loot. I heard that there is quite a few Sorc who are doing high level healing now so i was pretty interested to see how this was done. Have many people partied with healing Sorc for vet dungeons trials and dragonstar?
