Is quest exp still not fixed or is this the new rate?

I got about 400k doing a quest line in one complete zone. at this rate I would be vr4-5 after finishing the quests in all 10 zones. I see they lowered amount to level 1mil but quest exp is still abysmal. On my other char I got over Vr 10 doing all the quest when the exp required was higher and and they gave more exp. The only way to level is grind mobs. Why is the quest exp fix taking so long or is plan for all new chars to skip the story line if they want exp.

Don't just do quests, also enter the dungeons, world events and craft. ZO clearly said, they want us to play their game and not idle at one point of it.

I get a lot of xp, more than I want as I do everything the game has to offer - well except grinding at Craglorn

There's currently an issue where you are not gaining as much XP as intended while progressing through Veteran Ranks.

STATUS: Many fixes included in patch 1.5.4. We will continue to address this in patch 1.5.5.

Don't expect that you should be able to do nothing but quest to get to max level, why would you assume that? Also run dungeons, delves, dolmens, pvp, craft, explore, help people, farm crafting mats etc etc. Play the whole game not just part of it.

I'm still two ranks/levels above the veteran zones I'm currently questing in. Even though quests now give lower EXP in comparison to how much veteran points they were giving prior to the VP-EXP conversion, there are lots of other ways to gain EXP now (discovering new areas, opening chests, picking your nose, etc.) so I'm playing much like I was from levels 1-50; not just running from quest to quest, but killing things as I go, doing all the dolmens, world bosses, dungeons, etc. and leveling is just fine. Also lowering the EXP required to level to 1,000,000 was a huge help.

That's exactly how I do it, too, except for running group dungeons. The two characters I'm playing at the moment are about 1 rank above the current zone they're in. Works fine for me
