Separate Robe Bottoms: Yay or Nay?

When I first got the Daedric Motif for my clothier, I was nothing short of ecstatic. Why do you ask? For the simple reason that The light armor legs, were robe bottoms. Now it's not secret that one of the huge draws to this game is that one can successfully make a "Battlemage" kind of caster; a mage wearing heavy armor. Now, while this is great in its own right, the ability to use the Daedric robe-bottom-legs-whatever, to make it look as if you're wearing plate armor over a robe, Is nothing short of badass. There IS one issue though, which I think could be easily rectified.

My proposal is to separate the robe bottoms from the entire robe, much like the options for jerkins, and add them as their own crafting option. It would allow for a much wider variety of combinations! You could even mix and match light armor sets with different jerkins and robe bottoms. I personally think it would be pretty great. So that's why I figured I'd set up a poll and see what the rest of the forum community would think

No, I think it would be a bad idea and that's all people would wear.

I don't really care either eay, as long as they give us jewelcrafting first.

That being said, the "No" option is a bit weirdly worded. Can't anyone think this is a bad idea without believing everyone would wear skirts?

To make both options equally valid, the "Yes" option would have to read "Yes, I think this is a good idea, because I would love to see everyone running around in skirts."

Having a skirt bottom has been suggested before, and I agree it would be a good addition for options.

Another armor style option I'd like is the non-symmetrical shoulder pads.

The more customization when crafting the better I say.

Lol, I suppose that's a fair point, though I don't really see them as "skirts" I guess. To me it would just look like someone wearing a breastplate over a robe.

    It's not a skirt, it's a kilt. A kilt I say!

but yeah, more options for customization would always be welcome.

Yes, the more options for customisation, the better.

(Here in England we call "robe bottoms" a "skirt") ;)

Not got anything against it, I wouldn't personally use it, but got nothing against it.

Would be neat to have the option.

Personally, would love more open-faced helmets as alternate options for default bucket helms.

I suppose I could see medium, but I don't know if "plate robes" would make much sense. With medium armor I could see something like a duster, though. That would be kinda nifty.

In any case, how come only the "yes" people are posting? Why not any of the people who voted no? I'd like to see their reasons as to why.

I really dislike robes and the whole caster playstyle but adding customization options is always a good thing.

Main benefit would be more designs like different lengths and cuts,

Just so we are clear what you are asking for are skirts. I say add them, I'm sure the female characters would like them.
