Anniversary Badge Sound Off

So I am curious about this: I know my beta group was rather "late to the party" in 2013 compared to some other ones which began before mine. My anniversary badge in this month indicates 971 other people have also earned it, also noting a "thanks for sticking around with us" all this time kinda thing. Really? Only 971 other people? o.O

Simple. I find it interesting that it would cite such a small number of people since the group I tested with was one of the largest that had been seen to that date, and well over that number. Seems a bit off to me since the badge would have also been earned by anyone in the earlier testing groups such as the ones from Sept '13 and July '13. If the number is accurate, it is an indicator of how many players have either left or not bothered to stay "all this time."

Nope. Any badges earned in this forum are solely based on your activity in the forum.

I was in a beta around now but was not invited to join the forum until about 4 weeks after I had bought the game in April. So a while before I get mine

For all MMO's there is always an extremely small amount of people who are on the forums. I'd say maybe 95%(+) of the community aren't on the forums, all they use them for is to see patch notes.

Nope. Any badges earned in this forum are solely based on your activity in the forum.

Beta testers had to sign up for the forum as part of the process, so our one years are locked in from the day we made our accounts. At least the ones from when I joined and after. Literally you couldnt log in to the game without making a beta forum account first here.

Also, highlight the link to your name sometime, and see the member ID. You are in the 300k range, I am in the 750k range. Beta had hundreds of thousands of testers. I remember seeing hundreds and thousands of people in Cyrodiil on that test weekend, so crammed and packed you couldnt go anywhere without running into 20-30 people doing something or other. PvE questing was literally a train of people running between the same objectives on the same quest.

Compared to beta, this game has no population, so I am not surprised the forums are as slow as they are.

Looks like you don't earn the actual badge until you log into the forums. One of those who earned it today had a join date of back in September, and another from back in August.

Forum participation is relatively low. As of this post, 84,735 people have posted in the forum at least once, but only 17,427 have the 10 posts badge.
