What constitues 'healing'

Certain passives and amour sets provide a % bonus to healing taken and I just wondered what actually constitutes 'healing'. Clearly healing potions and Restoration Staff healing spells are included but other actions/skills can give health to a player and I was wondering whether these would constitute healing in the sense of being affected by a healing bonus.

For example, as a Nightblade I use Swallow Soul (Siphoning) and Blade Craze (Dual Wielding) a lot; both of these skills steal health and funnel it to my character; absorb health weapon glyphs would be an other example as would, technically, Health Regen. itself. In a literal these do all heal the recipient but are they considered 'healing' in the sense that they benefit from a % Healing Taken bonus?

There should be a descriptor that says what it applies to such as "healing taken from all sources." In that particular case, it would literally be any form of healing. I'm not sure if that also includes potions, but nearly anything else should be covered. Most boosts are more descriptive, such as the Nightblades passive boost to healing from the Siphoning skill line. Other than that, it should be a virtual blanket application.

That does include potions. So pretty much anything that doesn't rely on health regeneration is included.

OK, redacted thanks to @Samadhi comment below.
absorb health weapon glyphs would be an other example

Even less likely than the siphoning abilities, these are attributes of your weaponary.
as would, technically, Health Regen. itself. In a literal these do all heal the recipient but are they considered 'healing' in the sense that they benefit from a % Healing Taken bonus?

Heal regen is your health regenerating, this is different to healing, regen is your remaining health increasing not being topped up.

The % bonus to healing taken on Heavy Armour does apply to Swallow Soul and Blood Craze as both of these skills give a Heal Over Time effect to your character.
Have tested this with my Heavy Armour Nightblade.

Do not think it applies to Health Regen stat.
However debuffs that reduce the effectiveness of heals on the target seem to reduce Health Regen in terms of potency as far as my testing has found.
It is possible that increase to healing effectiveness impacts Health Regen in the same manner, but have not personally tested or monitored this.

Does the Dragon Knight's Inhale ability count toward healing taken?
