Is this already available and I'm just missing it?

If it is not then can we please get this option?

    Click "player status" tab in guild window so only ones online are at top.

    The problem is that I want to sort by rank or zone and not see the offline members mixed in.

    This is what you should have said in the first post. ;) I agree. It would be nice to sort by Online first then Level-Class etcetra. Maybe someone can make an addon that will do this?

    Yeah that level of organisation would be nice...I always wondered why nobody is really making good addons for this sort of thing.
