Who cares about XP anyways. They'll fix it soon enough regardless.

When you are a low vr toon having to fight mobs that are 5 to 7 lvl's higher than you and they are in groups of 6 plus ( like craglorn) than will start to wonder what the frick happened -- how come I didn't lvl properly -- This game is no longer playable -- That's why you should care about this XP

You guys didn't read the latest response from Gina huh? The exp "fix" isn't big and will basically only effect the cadwells quests. Little quests are not getting a boost. In her own words we all need to"change the way we play", which from what I can tell means playing it like a Korean grindfest mmo since there are not enough quest to hit vr14 even after the "fix".

And yes vr rank are going away, but that doesn't help those of us who would like to enjoy endgame veteran coh and DSA now instead of 2-4 months from now.

Ugh. What part of removing the veteran ranks do people not understand? How can they fix what is intended so that the game can be fixed. There is no need to 'get to the top' any more as if you have hit VR1, you are already at the top. Anything else is going to be champion points. Play the game instead of grinding so you can be "special". Leveling to 50 has NOT changed. 50 is now the maximum rank for everyone. Those of us who have VR14 characters have a slight bonus with the additional 14 attribute points. It took me months to get through the quests as I played the game instead of grinding to the maximum in hours. This will help remove the elitist BS which will improve the game greatly. If you want to be "special" then join the armed forces and be a real hero instead of living in mommy's basement worrying about your status on a game.

Hmm spoken by a true VR 14. Are you telling me that my VR2 char is now equal to a VR14 then?

As others have stated, this was no mistake. This is the new leveling for Champ levels. The adjustments they make next week will be minor.

If it takes an average player of a month to get two Champ levels, then a VR14 has a two month head start over VR10 or a seven month head start over a VR1. The figures I just pulled from my arse butt(geddit?) you get the drift.

It's far quicker to uninstall and find a good game on steam.

Yes I just resubscribed last week, trying to force myself to look beyond lack of players in VR zones while questing. I was getting there, until I realized my leveling pace was badly hurt. If I continue, I will fall behind in levels compared to zones, and its already too hard to solo dolmens and world bosses.

My $15 a month buys me the right and privilege to play this developer's game...as the developer intend it to be. My $15 does not earn me the right to dictate how the game should be made or what compensation I'm owed because it's not made the way I want it to be. If you don't like what they did with the game take your money elsewhere....they owe you nothing.

I agree with your sentiment. Compensation for a games design is just silly. Not happy? Just leave. Although by taking my $15 elsewhere I can still have, albeit indirect, way of dictating how a game is developed or which direction a game will go. If enough players leave it's pretty obvious they need to change direction.

Zenimax senior will be pissed off at little Zeni junior if they screw the pooch with this game. They do get a second bite at the cherry with console release though ;)

Yeah, I'd love to see the positive outcome for an mmo that does not have their players giving feedback via forums.

Unfortunately, you both think that people instead of voicing their opinions, should vote with their wallets.

Well, many will, and then where will you be?

Me, I'd rather people *** and moan, and actually have a discussion, instead of just pulling out because they can't handle a little bit of dialog (You both).

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "privilege." There are standards of discourse long set between developer and gamer and certainly these forums are an example of that. By virtue of that alone folks have every right to express ideas, criticism and feedback. They don't have to just eat what is prepared for them blindly and meekly. The players aren't "dictating" anything except maybe what they will do with their time and money. That term as applied to this community is a canard. Expressing their opinion even strongly.

You also seem to suggest the developers have no obligation to the community, but in fact they do. When they make statements about the product they are producing which we purchase, play, continue to play and don't unsub based on those statement, they have an obligation to in as much as possible follow through with those statements and promises or explain why they didn't follow through or changed direction. We as paying customers have earned at least that consideration. We are not "Sheeple" and shouldn't be expected to be such.

This may be true but it is up to the players to let them know they are doing something that is very wrong for the game and if they keep it up the game will be lost. Just sticking your head in the sand and saying there is nothing I can do is not helpful to them or the player base. They need our help as well and just packing up and leaving without letting them know of the problem is stupid -- If they than cannot or will not fix it to acceptable standards or your way to thinking you can leave. You need to voice your complains so they know there is a problem and give them the chance to fix it

Compensation aside, that is a sentiment not shared by most gamers who grew up with games that can receive updates via the Internet or function as a service (subscription based games). 15 years of online game history shows that games which act upon player feedback are most successful and long lived. Players (customers) should absolutely dictate how a game should continue to be made, just as non-game software customers dictate how software is made.

If xp is being tracked, then characters ought to receive retrospective xp when the bug is fixed. At least in terms of quest XP as that cannot be repeated.
Personally I don't mind too much, as soon as I realised there was an issue I started playing lower level alts. I do understand it must be very frustrating for people who have been questing with their VR level characters this week, to have missed out on xp that they ought to have earned.

Botched transition from VP to XP. They said this patch would make gaining veteran ranks faster, but it did the exact opposite. According to Gina, some of it is caused by bugs that will be fixed, but for the most part it works the way it was designed - which has the community up in arms.

This is something that should not have happened and a compensation should be made. In order to play on I have had to re-do my sub but this is definitely not something I have signed up for. The game was considerably fine and I was looking forward to some of the minor BUGs getting fixed and new stuff getting released (this is why there is a sub fee right?) in stead the game got totally screwed up with addons not working, no ability to focus on my character, more visual issues than before (yes there seem to be some other mishaps, some of them I believe were fixed - dual wield abilities getting character stuck) and unbalanced content (tried doing Spindel the other day with a group of vet14 + vet1 to downscale and the 3rd boss was simply not beatable - 2 miniboss helpers took us damn long to get killed).

I cleared spindle without problems and we were all vr14. We died a few times on the 3'rd boss only because we didn't moved with and within the circle.

It's not that I'm against a XP boost, but I don't believe it's necessary for them to give one either. So I chose "Other".

As frustrating as the XP issues is, they've acknowledged it as an issue and are working to improve it. I'm just not the type to request compensation unless it's an outstanding issue for a lengthy period of time.

uh if we were to get compensated for all the glitches and bugs in this mmo or any other mmo, there would be no real point in leveling at all, everyone would be max level in a week.

I chose other because although there are some things that we should get refunded/compensated for, most things aren't even worth it. We still were able to play the game essentially as intended, just leveled a little slow for a time.

As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

Get it through your head people -- you are not going to receive and thing -- this is no bur or screw up -- this is what they wanted and it is working as intended. So it is clear they wanted to screw us and we did not even receive any Vaseline. They know the quests are screwed up and can not be repeated and said to do them anyway -- that's insane -- Best thing to do is just wait for the patch or grind if that is your thing -- but don't waste your quest
