Seems To Be The Norm With ZOS, New Updates Continue to Bring New Issues, Bugs and Problems

Yet again a new update (5) rolled out only to bring countless issues, bugs and the breaking of things that were working just fine prior to the update. I for one cannot understand why every update brings the continual nightmare of bugs, issues and the breaking of skills, abilities etc that were working just fine prior. Geeze you put the update on a test server and I am sure the players that test out the update provide input as to problems and bugs. It's my opinion, none of the updates were ready when they were released to the general player community. It is also my opinion that you ZOS have not learned by your mistakes of continually releasing updates that were not ready.

Go back and look at all the issues (Problems With Update No.) that were reported and then look at all those issues that have still not been addressed, fixed or that you are still working on. That list just continues to grow with every new update.

To me ZOS you need to get your House in order. You are destroying your own game with the continual problems that you are creating. Wake up and smell the roses. Quit putting out updates that are not ready and fix all the issues that you have caused by the updates before releasing any more.

Yeah, large updates always result in some amount of bugs and such that need to be worked out over time. It's impossible for them to predict and fix 100% of them ahead of time.

Never forget Skyrim patch 1.2: the fantastic backwards-flying dragons that never landed :disagree:

    168898.gif?v=1

The next patch, 1.3, was focused almost solely on fixing stuff broken by 1.2. So patches/updates adding more bugs is hardly new. Annoying, yes, unusual, no.

FFXI has never had one issue after a update and added content. NOT ONCE!

The good, bad and ugly..it feels like Zeni are breaking bad whilst trying to do good. But hey, if thats the way the cookie crumbles, we'll have to take this arrow to the knee for the rest of the journey.

Heh, reminds me of the non-despawning dragon corpse I had in one save at Solitude, died with its ass pointing right at the gates. Every time I fast traveled in I was greeted with a Frost dragon's rear.

I completely agree and this has pi$$ed me off from the beginning! In fact the whole damn game should have never been released when it was. This game needed at least another year to fix things maybe more with Zenimax's incompetence, add end game content, make the UI much better, make the guild stores much better, and I'm sure I'm missing much more that NEEDED fixing! I dont think Zenimax knows their head from their arses with ESO!!! The left hand dont know what the right hand is doing, the lights are on but nobody is home, and they are 5 cans shy of a six pack. I hate to say it but they are completely incompetent. From day 1 till now shows this to be the truth. Take a look at how many purchased ESO and how many are still actually playing. People got pi$$ed and left and I dont blame them one bit. Only reason I have stayed is because I'm a hard core Elder Scrolls fan and I been able to some how trudge through there crap and enjoy the few good things about the game.

You could if you wanted to but that wouldn't help you defend ZOS so you won't.

While MOST (not all) MMO patches have 'issues' no other game I play EVERY PATCH has things break that weren't broken before, certainly not on the scale and severity ZOS can perpetrate.

Sure, new features will have bugs, but ZOS' ability to break existing content is becoming legendary.

Before every major patch i have 10 times more fear than hopefull anticipation. But this time it is not so bad. (Except for people that lost their beloved troll camps)
I do foresee a day that the patch will bring a change that makes me leave, there is always this threat level.

I thing a psychological support section would be good so players can help each other cope with their fears and pain before and after major updates.
And i am not joking.. The more time i invest in this game, the more i think about this issue.

My issue is more with the fact they make poor calls each update , than with the fact they add more bugs than fixes each time.

In the end , you see them do it and you already know in a few months they will need to come foward and again change the thing around , simple because it was a stupid idea since the start , but they did it anyway.

I wrote it before....I'll write it again: Don't give us lip-sync talking heads until the game is fixed!! Bobble mouths do not keep me interested in the game. A good, fun, working game does. Don't fix what ain't broken!! There are too many other issues that need to be addressed before you add more broken and bugged stuff!!

Yes and no, FFXI and FFXIV:ARR updates are not entirely bug free - no MMO update is. But generally the bugs have been relatively minor, only appear in very limited circumstances or fixed pretty quickly.

When I was first looking into ESO, one of the things that was a big selling point for me was the consistent content updates. Six months later I find myself dreading the content patches... NOT because I don't like the changes/updates. I love a lot or most of what ZoS has done so far...

However, between the 3+ hours of download time, the intro of both new and old bugs, the "breaking" of all the add-ons that make the UI even remotely useful as a MMO UI (which wouldn't be a huge deal if most of the modder's hadn't left the ESO community), and the occasional tanking of FPS I find myself longing for the days right before patch.

In fact, most of the time now I end up taking a break from the game for a week or two after patch so ZoS can fix everything major that broke.

Like right now, the XP is bugged for vet ranks (confirmed by ZoS, they are working on a fix to push asap). I'm glad they are on top of it, but it doesn't change the fact I won't play a vet toon until it is fixed... or the fact the NB weapon swap is bugged in stealth... again... Yet when it comes to nerfs, ZoS seems to get it "right" every time. How come instead of XP not working as intended, the nerf to PvP stealth damage was bugged and gave a 1000% bonus. Like, you never see that. It's always to the player's detriment.

I really hope as time goes on every patch isn't going to be so GD painful.

Completely agree. Google the term "Change Curve." It's a concept taught in every business, development, or change management curriculum.
