Those are inspiration points used to level the specific craft that the writ was for.
Those are the same points you get by creating and deconstructing items to level a craft. They are immediately applied to your crafting skill when you finish a writ.

But what happens to the points if your already a master crafter?

Level 50 blacksmithing writ gives a survey report that gives you 5 nirnstones. I'd say that's definitely worth it.

No. You are confusing crafting xp (inspiration) with regular xp.@ZOS_GaryA, aren't these points pooled so that any character I have on my account can use them? Meaning since my vet is maxed on all crafting skills, any she gets are available to use on my lvl 10? I thought that is what I read, I may be wrong on that could you clarify?
