Since 1.4.7 Whitestrake's Retribution is broken. Since ZOS are not commenting I assume they are not fixing it any time soon. So... I need yet another set of armour...
I know Ashen Grip works as one of my alts has it. I also know Night's Silence is still flaky.
So what's actually working right now?

I can only assume it is broken since pre-1.4.7 it was giving the damage shield and post-1.4.7 it is no longer giving the damage shield. I have no other way to define working vs. not working really.GM - Malazan

ontheleftcoast✭✭✭✭✭In my experience, Night's Silence is only flaky when you go between 4/5 piece with weapon swap. Gee, imagine that, another weapon swap bug.
As long as you've got all five pieces as armor all the time than the bonus to sneak speed works. If you rely on swapping in a weapon to get the bonus you need to swap the weapon first, then crouch, or the bonus might not work.
I wouldn't be shocked to hear this was a problem with any other 5 piece set/bonus. Weapon swap has been an endless bug farm for them. Wait for them to decide to drop the functionality all together rather than fix it.

✭✭Hmmm... that might make sense because although i always have 5 pieces running 2 of those pieces are weapons... so I swap between 2 sets of DW... both DW sets are Whitestrake's but if the swap itself is buggy then that might explain the problem.GM - Malazan

I think this is 100% correct. I always make my 5/5 set all armour and have weapons in the 3/5 or 4/5 set. Do it this way and everything works.Level 50 Characters
