Looking for Guild System

I'd really like to have an easier way to look for guilds in game. It would be nice to have something like the Looking for group system but instead for guilds. Guild leaders could search for members and members could search for guilds. There would be searchable criteria like Guild time zone, Guild focus (Trading/Store/PVE/PVP/Questing), Raid times, Levels wanted, Classes wanted, Roles wanted, guild membership stats (number of players/average level/sales totals for the guild/current merchant location), etc.

*Edit* I forgot to mention it should keep working when you log off unlike the looking for group system. To make people and guilds easier to find. It could have an expiration of a week or so, to keep stale entries off.

I'd like to have a Looking for Guild feature to use.

I don't think it's needed, we have the forums & chat channels to use.

I'd like a tournament style fight to the death in the arena for a spot in the l33test guild ever.

This could be a good idea, but in the meantime I have found 3 of the 5 guilds that I am in from this section

However just like the Guild Recruiting Spam in Zone Chat, you don't know what a guild is really like until you join it. For example, they can sound like a great trading guild, until you join it and see there are 100 members and they have 40 items in the Guild Store. True the guild may have been on the way up in membership, but there are plenty of trading guilds that are already at 400 plus members to join.

Of course a PvE or RP or PvP guild might not need 500 members or even 100 members to be an effective guild for it's purpose. It all depends on the guild.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I'm very picky about what I want out of a guild, so I'm not sure an in-game LFGuild system would check all the boxes, so to speak.

I've checked out the PvP guild forum but it seems pretty inactive and nothing caught my attention..

In case this catches any guild's attention as a match:
AD, PvP, NA (homed on Lagblade, non-vet), many guildies actively PvPing at various hours (especially late hours), casual / non-elitist / non-frathouse-ish (probably most important) :-P
Disabling the grass may improve performance.

Below is right here: /whois. As shown working just fine in DAoC.

Ya, I'd like a way to search for players too but that's sort of a different function than looking for a guild or looking for members.

    You never played DAoC, hm?
the /whois there showed player AND guild (if he was in one). Made many things much easier.

No, I didn't play DAoC but many games have search functionality that shows, class, level, race, guild, etc. Seeing a person is in a guild or not isn't the same thing as knowing he would like to join one or that a guild would like to recruit members and what kind of guild they are.
