Will the Truly Legendary achievement ever be properly fixed?

When the game started, the Truly Legendary achievement read something like "Apply a player created legendary glyph, to a player created legendary piece of gear". Recently, all the words "player" were replaced with "character", probably because a bunch of people created an item on one character and glyph on an alt, and didn't get the achievement.

Thinking about the setup of crafting in this game, it really doesn't make sense to have a single character do both weapon crafting and enchanting. With the price of motifs (and it's going to get worse with Dwemer) - if you don't have a single char do blacksmith, cloth, and woodworking - you will never be able to craft all motifs with all your gear, and as a person who does all 3 on my main (aka 60+ skill points used) there is no way I'm adding a 4th profession. Not to mention that my alt is already lvl 50 enchant so why do the work again.

So what is more Truly Legendary, having a character that can craft a legendary staff and a legendary glyph to go with it - or having a character that can craft a full set of legendary cloth armor, a fire staff, and a sword or something, along with an alt that can make legendary glyphs for all of that.

I think the wording "fix" was very cheap - given that most of us who started in preorder were level 50 in our trade skills while it still read "player". I know it's harder to implement this if you need to verify it across accounts instead of a single character, but that is really the right thing to do! Please fix!

The text was fixed and ZOS never apologizes for mistakes, so don't expect more.

On you enchanter toon, make a L10 sword (no skill required). Then give the sword to your blacksmith to upgrade it to legendary, then give it back to your enchanter to add the legendary glyph (which was made by your enchanter).

As long the toon who MADE the sword is also the toon who made the glyph and is applying the glyph, you get the achievement. (the upgrading of the sword to legendary can be anyone)

PS. I forgot what the min level an item has to be before you can add an glyph, it might be L10 but you get the idea

My main has all trade skills maxed so it is doable if you get the extra skill points from PVP but not everyone likes PVP

If they intend for everyone to be able to do all the crafts on one character (as is the implication with not fixing this achievement), then they need to triple the bank space and halve the cost for it, so it's possible to do so.

How do you like that flawless logic, ZoS?

I made my own v14 legendary gear and enchanted it with my own v10-14 legendary glyphs... It's not that hard, respect if you have to, for the achievement. Then, respec back. It's not that difficult. There are actual gameplay issues some of us would like addressed instead of your complaining about your work around not working for an achievement.

My main does everything except proviosioning, so no issues here:)

That said, if you want the dye, then do as @Natjur suggested and you'll get it, if you want actual achievement to have it on your main...well, yeah, you might have to level enchanting or give up on it. But then if you want all the crafting achievements on your main, it means your main has indeed to learn all professions, which can be a bit complicated with all the skillpoint/inventory management, so it's not the specific problem with this achievement.

I just think if I make a full set of V14 legendary gear as I plan to, and then also make a full set of glyphs for it, that "truly legendary" definitely applies.

I don't want to waste 24k (~8x3k) of legendary mats on a level 10 sword, nor do I have the time to level a second character to 50 in enchanting. I'm not going to quit because of this, nor does is really matter in the grand scheme of the game, it's just a little disappointing - so I made a post that will hopefully get seen by the ZOS.

Yeah, my main is my blacksmith/woodworker/clothier and my alt is enchanter/provisioner/alchemist. If I want to have this achievement on my main (which is where I'm trying to get most of the achievements), I will have to level her enchanting and spend skill points so she can make gold glyphs.

I'm not sure why this can't be achieved by having it be limited to the same account instead of character.

Worst case scenario just respec, put the points into whatever you're trying to craft, then respec and put the points into the opposite thing, again.

    Expensive? Yes.
    Workaround? Yes.
    Effective? Debatable.

I have added Glyphs to L4 Equipment and L1 Equipment. Note these were White Glyphs so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
