Hi all,
I may be new in ESO, but I've been thinking on things that could improve the game, and make it a more fun experience for us all.
As a dual-wield lover, I've been confronted with a fact that reminded me of a similar situation in Age of Conan. Where melee classes had troubles against magicka classes : one of the issues was that stamina was also consumed when sprinting. In any Elder Scrolls single-player game, it's normal, however any player could enchant a piece of gear and have an overpowered Duracell-style stamina regeneration.
What I want to highlight is the fact that Age of Conan developpers had the good idea to implement a new resource for sprinting : endurance. What is the difference between stamina and endurance you might say?
I would say that stamina is more about your body's energy (think about short-distance races) while endurance is more about how long can your body keep on running on long distances or do the same activity during a long time.
Here is an example below of how it looks in-game :
1 - the Endurance bar |
2 - the usual Health/Mana/Stamina bars
For ESO, the endurance bar could be placed under the stamina bar, just like the horse's stamina. It wouldn't conflict since sprinting on foot and on a horse are different things that never happen at the same time.
I've read this solution quite often on the forums, but I thought that maybe with a concrete example ESO developpers might be interested to look at this.
Of course this is not the only issue about stamina builds, like classes abilities being magicka-only etc. But I wanted to focus on this problem.

[Vanity Gear]
For vanity gear/transmog, I also took the example of Age of Conan which, in my opinion, made it really simple. You get 2 tabs :
One for the real gear that is used to fight (vanity gear was disabled)

Another for the vanity gear, you just put the armor you like and that's it
(though we could add restrictions : heavy armors with heavy armors etc.)

My knowledge about coding is near absolute 0, however I do think it would be easier to do than add npcs, dialogues etc. It would also be faster and easier for players : you get a good looking gear and you can use it immediately.
Thanks for reading all and keep up the good work ZOS !
