NA Server's very laggy now ...

Since I've resubbed (after a few months away) I've noticed the game is very laggy.

Anyone else in Australia have the same issue?
For me the most annoying part is that my character will freeze mid combat and when it starts up again, I'm either dead, of near to it.
Sometimes when I'm running along in the world, I've also noticed that I warp backwards .. like in Matrix except I swear I didn't see any black cats.

yeah I know .. log a support ticket. It's just so effing annoying!

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is, it's not just an Australia thing.

It's very pronounced in Group Dungeons (Vet especially) and often in Cyrodiil, though it's happened in other locations as well.

It's not about 'high traffic areas' as is often indicated in the answer.

It's impossible to respond/react when things keep processing server side but do not client side.

Do issue a CS ticket and a bug report so they will hopefully see this is occurring frequently enough and with a diverse enough group that they need to find and fix it.

If You're running an Nvidia card that is relatively recent, I've a post that will help with some of this, but not all.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    UPDATE ...

OK, in my case at least I've found an issue on my end that is definitely contributing to my lag problem (notwithstanding any existing debate about server/client transactions).

I've been with Optus for half an hour and we tested line speeds with wireless and I'm getting between 1 - 4 Mbps. That is REALLY crap considering I'm paying for 10 Mbps. Tested with my spare laptop via ethernet cable direct into the adsl modem and turning wireless off I get a consistent between 9 - 9.17 Mbps .. much better, but unable to test ESO because my man cave is in another room and I don't have a cable long enough .. and it wouldn't be a stable link over 10 meters anyway.

My gripe is now focused on Optus .. seeing as I'm paying them an effing fortune for the effing service, they could at LEAST update my ADSL modem once a year .. it's bloody defective init?

Problem is I've had issues with Telstra in the past as well ... bloody telco's I hate the effing lot of them! Grrrrrrr .. blood sucking parasitic maggots. Ef the lot of them!

im from aus to, with telstra tho n havent had to many dramas with them, i started using a progrsm called wtfast, it helps with latency and lag issues, imo it has helped me with a smoother game play, it has s free month trail to use it, no promises it will make things better if u tryed it, but i definatly noticed it for the better

Ethernet 1000Base-T (IEEE 802.3ab) using Cat5 (or better) cables is designed to work over a 100m distance. So you should be fine on only 10m.
