50 dollar vets.

I would happily pay $49.99 per character, to create a new alt and have that Alt be leveled to V1, with the main story complete and all skill points from those levels and main quests.

The lower part of the game is ultimately boring, and I would pay a lot of money to skip that boring content.

To clarify:

I already have a V14 and a V1. I don't wanna keep repeating the boring early part of the game to get a character to the fun part of the game that I enjoy. I want to skip the content I don't like and play the content I do.

    Quests are boring.

    Pre- and Post- Vet.

The 1-50 race is important because it means you become viable and actually "play" the game. Buying your way to V14, I wouldn't go that far.

Find a teen or an unemployed individual in your local area. I'm sure they would be delighted to play your game to Vet 1 for $50 per character, all day long.

I suspect you could even start a company based on it.

Surprised no one has farmed out ESO Messaging services...logging in for people just so they get hireling mail every 12 hours and/or to manage inventory.

What's the point of playing the game if you're not going to play the game?

And @Soloeus, did you post this yourself, or did you pay someone else to do it for you? Just curious.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

The only thing I can really take from is that certain players are okay with the easy content (1-50) but not so much with the more difficult parts of the game (V1-14).

Since much of one's skill improvement occurs during the Vet levels I don't understand why a serious player would want to be a V14 that can be killed by a couple of V5 mudcrabs.

Actually, Merlin old boy, that is a business. It's called a power leveling service and is offered by the same folks that offer you game gold from hacked accounts or from people who play online games all day from disadvantaged regions of the world to fill these digital stores with items.

Most game developers and publishers are engaged in an ongoing war with them of course.

Blizzard simply decided to join them and offered max level characters in their well known online game for....60 dollars or something.

And when these games, such as Lord of the Rings Online, go free to play (in a pig's eye) their biggest cash shop items are XP accelerators.

Okay, so to summarize most views here, why create something for people to do that they pride themselves in not having to do anymore?

Why create a pecking order based on having endured what most people consider unendurable....as a spare time activity?

Welcome to the puzzle that keeps aspiring game developers all over the world talking and texting to each other until the wee hours of every night. It's so broken. But nobody has fixed it.

    This.
Like going to the world cup final and not turning up to the penalty shootout, cos you've seen one before.
Honestly, wish I had the money to waste, I'd buy more M&Ms :)

"More M&M's". Now we're on to something. I'd pay a lot more if I got a big bag of M&M's every time I logged on. Maybe that's something they could add to the provisioner hirelings.

I'd pay Zen $50.00 if they would continue the story past level 50. It could take up the leveling for, lets say VR1-VR10.

They could call it an expansion. ;)

Oh and it would include housing.

    No.
    Just no.
    To this entire topic.
    Pay to win is bad.
Especially when there is 1) a sub fee, 2) an initial purchase fee.
I get that it needs to be less grindy and more gamey but paying to play end game is a bad idea.
But then you could have more money then free time.
I suppose an EXP booster would be a middle way.

Considering the abomination VR is XP grind-wise and the projected Champion Point grind (over a year to cap it according to one analysis I've seen) ZOS clearly don't need any encouragement.

I don't understand people... I really don't. The leveling experience is the most enjoyable part of this game. End game is just boring. Why rush there?
  • Grayaxeb14_ESO
    I'm against this idea also.

Now if you could create a VR1 alt as a reward for finishing Cadwells Gold, that has complete map access but only the skill points from levels none from quest, skyshards, etc. I'd probably be fine with that.

The leveling experience is not fun once you have 2 vets. It is tedious, and boring.

This isn't pay to win because you can already achieve the ends being paid for in-game. This gives you a choice, Time or Money.

I am Pro Choice, and I would like to choose.

I want to skip the boring part of the game that doesn't entertain me. I want to skip the content not based on difficulty, but on boredom vs fun.

Since they nerfed the VR zones, it's not hard. It's just as easy as the 1-50 zones. I've solo'ed public dungeons in VR1 zones with my templar and I would never have thought about doing that with my NB when my NB went through that zone in May.

Its ridiculous actually, people call any progression a grind nowdays

ZOS created leveling content, tons of it. Whether you like it or not, its your problem. Grind is mindless killing of monsters over and over. Used to be a thing in MMO games back then, due to lack of the quest content.

Gamers are never happy, they complain just about anything

It's not that confusing buddy. The people who ask for this are the people who already have at least one char maxed. Repeating the same content is surprise, surprise: tedious and boring.

Don't get me wrong, I had an absolute blast doing 1-50 the first time. Fantastic quests and content. However, due to the stupid Vet System (and the lack of Craglorn when I levelled), I had to do all available quests of the other factions with the same char to get to v10.

When it came to levelling my second char, there was nothing new for me to do, so I got bored and started grinding. Now I want to level a 3rd char and I don't even have the motivation to grind.

What OP is saying is to offer the option to get an alt to max level. The option only given to you provided you have one maxed player already.

I'm not really a fan of people purchasing end-game characters. I do understand the benefit, but it floods the end-game content with a wave of players who do not know how to play their characters. I think this would segregate the community even more. People would just run with guild members only or friends only, and those players that do not have those options would be left out, because PUG members would just be too much of a risk, as you would never know if it is in experience player, or some random that bought a VR character and has never played the game before.
