Two things i wish in character creation.

Either one of these would do

1-Increase number of characters you can delete at one time to 10

2-Change the character posture so that it is exactly the same as it is while playing

Why? It frustrates me that every time i try to make a new character, the different posture from in-game posture affects the characters looks in a way that the body looks completely good and natural in character creation but when you start playing, it changes to some odd twisted body that has proportions and all wrong and it always needs numerous attempts to make a perfect character in every aspect possible.

I would like to have better lighting for working on faces and MORE HAIRSTYLES THAT DON'T SUCK!!!! A wider range of hair colors would be nice as well.

I agree, they should add poses. It has never bothered me but people complain about it from time to time on here. Also, the character delete limit combats bots, so that has to stay.

Character delete limit needs to stay.

However, I have finally learned to make my characters skinnier than I think I would want them to be. So much so that I make them thinner, then take even more weight off (arms and legs mostly) as they tend to grow in the game.

I had to spin the character so many times hoping it would trigger a semi-normal posture (it does but it's random). But yeah. A pose changer option to see how things will look would be GREAT.

Also a toggle for in game lighting! The CC seems to use ambient lighting and frontal lighting only while in-game uses harsh lighting from above or ambient , especial in the case of Daedric realms like Coldharbor.

the limited delete feature has single handedly stopped the one and done bots. I for one am glad the bot trains are gone and I do not want them back.

To explain the issue fully, bots were making a new character logging in and then porting to another character. They would show up at the city wayshrine, run and complete a high level non combat quest within the city that gave a gold reward. That character would mail the gold to a main and then log off and delete itself and rinse repeat. This ultimately created a never ending bot train that netted the botters 250-300 gold every time. It may seem small but think about it they could complete the quest without fail about 12 times a minute or more. That is about 180,000-216,000 gold an hour.

I do know that the limit has to stay because it prevents bots :) I just added it as "Alternate impossible" option for a stronger point on my personal feelings when i fail third time in a row when creating new character.

I agree that lighting and pose options should be avaiable for those who want their character to look exactly how they think it should.

I'm not that picky, but I can see the CC interface needs some improvement.

This is true. I always just try to create normal everyday personas and this seems to be toughest of all. Muscular and thin are quite easy to make and so is larger ones but the normal everyday body is tough. You have to adjust so many sliders and it always seems too muscular and then too thin and then somehow otherwise odd.. Then you get a perfect one and darn.. You forgot to change height or voice or the class is still wrong (I always create characters under a class of which type of equipment they will use and then change desired class when all is ready. So many things to remember and so forth.

Would not hurt if it also asks "Are you sure this will be your character?# :)

I see the opposite affect, they look thicker in the game. Maybe not the torso so much, but the arms and legs do. Also, the chest I end up making much bigger than I want to in the Chargen when it comes out in the game.

Bots prevention or no, I do feel like the 3 deletion character limit is just a bandaid at best. No other major MMO's have a silly limit like this to combat bots. The games not new anymore either, bots have moved onto Archeage now. Even if ESO slowly increased this and see how things turn out. Maybe bump it up to 4 and then 5 a day and see if anything happens. If the bots swarm in then fine, knock it back to 3.

On top of that, the fact you only regenerate 1 deletion a day makes it even worse. At least give us all 3 back in 24 hours or something. I doubt this is going to make bots go crazy again, they would still be very limited. This is not a lackluster free to play MMO. We all paid money for the game an our sub fee and should be allowed to tweak are character as much as we like. Until zenimax adds in a barber shop or something that a newly created character can access easily, this will continue to be a lackluster fix.

Even a simple fix like giving us one free appearance mod in the newbie island would be good or something. I still think Oblivion did it best letting you readjust once escaping from prison.

The character creation screen does have some issues as mentioned in above posts.

    1. Characters definatly look thicker in the game sometimes in the arms or legs then shown on character screen,
    2. Noses often come out a bit different.
    3. Same with chins
    4. Hair/skin color can be hard to judge sometimes due to the coldharbor lighting in character creation. Would be nice to have a button to give us nice regular out door day time lighting in the game

I know a lot players might not care about their appearance entirely, but some of us are perfectionists in this sort of thing. I don't excpect the guy named Zombie *** who spamming zone chat with useless banter to care about his appearance much, but many of us like to be immersed in the world, and having that perfect character makes a big difference.

Breton women with short hair look like ET trying to phone home. Necks have some serious length, unsure if they have giraffe ancestors.

I don't really have a problem with my first three characters, but I noticed some issues in this one that have been mentioned here already, except for her exceedingly long neck.

What I noticed is that the creation model doesn't quite fit the in-game model. I designed an Altmer Mage to look like the Trailer Hero and she did, for the most part, in character creation. In-game her face is thinner, her cheekbones are different and she's frowning. I created a Bosmer Mage the same way and she looks close to right though, so it might just have been that my eyes were deceiving me.

Many of these differences are probably down to lighting (face mostly) and posture (body). I really hope the characters are not actually slightly different in character creation.

What I have the most trouble with in character creation, which took me a few deletes and retries to figure out, is skin color and waistline. The latter took me quite a while to get right because due to the different posture it seemed to always generate a kind of cleft/dent, until I just left that slider roughly in the middle and made some adjustments to thickness. This may only be a problem when you create female characters with narrow hips and a bit of meat on their bones (thickness at the level right before they actually start to develop a beer gut).

The solution: Use normal ingame daytime lighting and have the characters stand as they usually would ingame. At least have them as an option.

A bit off topic: Why do posteriors get sooooo much bigger when wearing (heavy) armor? I mean it's logical for armor (especially heavy) to add volume, except it doesn't for the rest of the body, where it looks like body paint apart from gloves and shoes. This disproportionate volume gain in the posterior area has led to me creating female character with posterior dimensions set at the minimum, because this way it looks about right with the armor on.

The only issue I have with character creation is the real and depressing lack of faces.
You get one that you can change a little, more angular, more soft, thinner... In the end the basic face is still here and I feel a bit sad when every npc in the game and even players almost got the same faces.
Only original character I saw was someone making a goblin out of the Orc race, yet he had to completely make a skinny and weirdo face&eyes.

Did you use the sliders for individual chages to noses, eyes etc.?

3 is plenty. an increase to 5 at most would be generous. 10 is completely unnecessary.

Pick a face you're happy with and run with it. If 1 minute detail is out of whack? Wait for the Face Sculptor.

I too would like more hairstyles and hair colors. I want my High Elf to have black hair. I don't see why I can't.

The two things I need are:
    a) saving/loading a template to continue working on it later or using it for another char.
    b) a scale showing a toon's height relative to other races.
The height slider has almost zero value because when you actually see how you are doing compared to others in game it is already way too late to adjust anything.

Oh yes I did, else I'd have to play with my redguard and her big round nose, feels too cliché just because it's a black skinned race lol
    I love them though :)

The issue is that if you got a good eye you can easily see that all characters got the same basic face, unless the sliders has been min/maxed. Only way to really make a difference as far as I've tested.
I'm fine with my char's face but I notice that same face everywhere with the npcs

Agree abiut better lighting, hair, and some poses maybe. But I would like to see the option of light, medium or heavy armor as well, and not just the armor ZoS assigned to the class (hint much?). If I want to be a DK in medium armor or a Sorc in heavy, I would like the option to see that on my character while creating it.

For more hairstyles.. They should really take a look at most popular hairstyle mods for Skyrim and learn from them. Many good hairstyles there.

But pose to be same as ingame or selectable pose which also applies in game and better lightning options for char creation would be my first wishes.

In some point id also like faces to keep their makeup/paint when you vampify yourself.

    2 things
    More options for all settings
The option to tweak the character once, after reaching Tamriel rather having to guess in the chargen.

And as an aside, someone to calibrate all ZOS monitors so that colours look like their previews, in the chargen and dye system. I just looked at some blacks, which looked 'black' or very dark greys, but on the item were fairly light greys!
    Similar issues with 'skin' tones...
