Eh, those are all standard features in most MMOs. It isn't our fault ZOS decided to not include them as options. There is no reason whatsoever players shouldn't be able to see active buffs / debuffs. I do, however, not like addons that tell players "block now!" while you're charging at them and such.

This is not one of those MMO's, is it?

And that is an excuse to be forced to play blindly because..?

That is a design decision by the devs.
Said in another thread, if my health starts going down with inward arrows then I have a debuff on me... if the arrows point out I have a buff on me...
Your inability to adapt on the other hand...
So basically, it sounds like you guys are saying that anyone who spams skills, whatever the skill may be. True enough. But that does underscore something for me which I have thought about this game for a while; the fact there are no CDs on skills make it pretty easy for people to abuse what they have.
Considering all the problems with balancing, resource management, the animation canceling debacle, and a number of other things we won't mention.... it does seem like CDs on skills as in other games would have reduced at least some of these issues --- not including the whining about PvP balance though, which exists in every MMO w/PvP I have ever seen, hehe.
if you mean something like combat cloud that says things like, "cleanse now", saying it's playing the game for you is absolutely ridiculous.Flocking to FotM builds, having add-ons to tell you when to use what (essentially playing the game for you) and then complain current is too easy - or proclaim to be a good player because you can press a button when your screen flashes telling you to press said button. Lastly, players who change builds to take advantage of a bug/exploit knowing it provides an unfair or unstoppable advantage.

if i'm to assume by "fotm builds" you mean using the best skills available to any particular class, which you probably do, than most people are running them. if this is the case, than the players running people over are either better, run some type of uncommon build, or have made improvements to existing builds. all are fair enough ways to win, and more than likely it is a combination of a better build+a better player. if you intentionally choose to gimp ur char to avoid "fotm", than that is your choice, but don't complain about losing.

We'll have to disagree. To me things that tell you when to cleanse, when to block, when to crystal shard, when to dodge, when to interrupt, etc apart from the in game cues is absolutely cheesy. IMO of course.
And by FotM builds I mean flocking to pyro dk pre nerfs, or in beta players flocking to templar because of the infinite magicka - which caused ZOS to over swing the nerf hammer.
I also haven't ever complained about dying, so I'm not sure about your last line.

I don't have a problem with cleanse notifications. I do have a problem with block notifications to avoid stuns. A player can be looking in the opposite direction of you, with you off screen, and their addon tells them to block as you charge, negating the stun. But telling you to cleanse a debuff that already exists? That isn't really unfair at all.

I suck at games like this. Thus add-ons telling me what to do would only serve to remind me of something I already know: I'm doing it wrong. No thanks.
My primary enjoyment comes from watching my favorite Dunmeri character wearing Cold Harbor Black primal motif pants as she runs, runs, runs through the world. Having dual axes just makes the effect more pleasing. Thus I like dual wielding.
What I don't like is sorcerers who use pets. They block my favorite view, that's why. I don't care how you fight or how you play. Just don't block the view please.
