Currently game days are 6 hours long, with 4 hours being daylight hours and 2 hours being nighttime.

I am happy with the current system.

I think day and night should be the same length of time, so 3 hours each.

I would prefer a different time keeping system entirely. (Please elaborate in comments.)

I have no opinion, I just like answering polls.

I heard there were sweetrolls here. Where are the sweetrolls?

IMO it's okay as it is. I'm afraid it'll be too hard to players to calculate if ZOS makes dynamic system like seasons (sometimes day<night -> day=night -> day>night -> day=night and so on).
    Make sweetrolls, not nerfs!

I am actually fine with how the time system seems to work. :relaxed:

...and are there really no sweetrolls here? :sob:

The problem is weather, not daytime.

Aside from sunrise occurring at 2am I'm pretty okay with how time works.

Pass the sweet rolls...I don't care what they do with time as long as there are sweet rolls with pecans.

I was going to vote that I'm happy. But then I read there were sweetrolls and now I want my sweetroll.

Not disagreeing with you but can you tell me why you feel day being longer than night is a good thing? Just curious.

The current cycle is better than having it reflect real time. Sometimes logging in to nighttime is a bit depressing.

Agreed twice! I HATE not knowing the time and having to have a less than completely reliable add-on to even get in the ballpark.

I'm not sure why the days are twice as long, I'm even more confused when they have a skill line attributed to the night yet night is 2 hours long. Bring on the night!

I generally find night in games a nuisance, since it just makes resources harder to spot, and doesn't add that much to immersion imo, or course other people disagree (how dare they  )

I have, I was speaking about night in games in general, not this game specifically, I especially found it annoying in SWTOR.

I'd prefer if the two were the same length of time. It just doesn't feel 'right' the way it currently is.

While I don't mind the current system, I'd prefer it be based on real world time i.e. when it's night in your time zone, it's night ingame.

EDIT: Why is this a private poll?

Why shouldn't it be? Logically speaking, people tend to feel more free to be honest when given anonymity. Then they need not fear to speak of their unholy love for sweetrolls. ;)

I have to admit I'm a little surprised by the results so far myself. But I'm betting all those sweetroll lovers are creatures of the night so...so we can totally count them with us.

Time has no meaning really in terms of access to NPC's, they are always available (unlike in solo TES games where people went home at night and locked the stores up). At least make them the same length.

I do wonder why people seem to like the current system. It just seems really weird to me to have a 4 hour day and a 2 hour night. I wish ZoS would tell us why they made that particular decision in the first place.

Why wouldn't days be longer than nights? Our day/night cycle is roughly 16/8 (summer, Europe, the game world is also locked in summer I think)
